I had a hit yesterday and hadn't played for a few months so was feeling a bit out of sync. Struggled early finding direction with the Driver and started playing some military golf, left right left right.
My first go to tip I usually use when I'm finding it difficult to make good contact or start spraying them all over the places is....just shorten your swing, with all clubs.
Second thing I'll do if I'm still wayward with the big dog is, put it away and tee off with the 3 wood. I hit it almost as far and mostly straight and high off about a one inch tee, hardly ever lets me down and saves some serious time scrounging around in the rough looking for lost drives.
Doing something as simple as that, swallowing the pride a bit and just teeing off with the 3 can restore confidence and make the round a lot more enjoyable.
P.S Once I tried an experiment and tee'd off on the whole 18 with nothing more than the 5 iron, ended up shooting an 85, makes a big difference when most tee shots are on the fairway.
