Those R1 scores seem the wrong way around based on top and bottom spots compared to how we have done over the rest of the comp!

Managed to get someone through Rd 1 in 7/8 matches for this round, pity Heta lost stopping the sweep.

Just looking ahead at the next round of tipping, and assuming all QF matches go to the higher seed (1-4), everyone will only have one of their 3 selections for the semis and final. No guarantee this will happen, especially seeing as two of the top 4 still haven't even made the QF yet, but it's quite possible, and theoretically is the most likely outcome. Seems a bit unusual that you might need to be relying on picking the best two QF losers to get a good score.

I'm happy to keep things as is, it would at least be a bit different, just throwing it out as a possibility you might not have considered (I'm sure you have).

3/3 for me today. For a tournament that looked like a tough one to call, I've surprised myself so far with 11/13 selections winning. Really did not expect that.

It’s deliberately set up that way to differentiate teams. I’d be very surprised if the top 4 continually make it through to the SF stage of each tournament. If they do though, that will force differential in itself. By introducing the Max 1 and coupling it with only 3 selections, it gives opportunity to differentiate. That was the angle behind it.

Not complaining, it adds to the challenge.

Agree the odds probably are against all of the top 4 make it through anyway, just gives me a bit more to think about with my next lot of picks. I'm not used to having so many progress at this stage of tournaments, usually my decisions are a lot simpler with my initial picks getting knocked out in early rounds. :)
