@Ironhawk

Looks like we are heading for a Bat 🍩.

So might need to factor Renshaw in instead of Dooley , Naveed or Swepson.

Or Rashid goes instead of Agar.

Too confused now , will wait for the updated team once the round starts

Yeah that was part of my initial thinking with trading Rashid. That's still my preferred option but seemed like the noise was around Agar. Or maybe I misread that!

I think we need to make this easier for @Ironhawk given time will be an issue.. how about we just commit to:

Farooqi to Renshaw
Hales to Dooley

I think that gets us to:

Inglis (Handscomb)
Short, Renshaw, Shadab, Neser, Stoinis (Gilkes, Connolly)
Rashid, Tye, Hosein, Steketee (VC), Zampa (Dooley, Sams)

I personally prefer Hales out of Gilkes, but not sure we have the cash to do that and we are running out of time to debate to many variables. I think the above means balanced all the ideas from the thread and got 3/4 from the highest votes in the poll.

Still deciding on trade options. I'm liking a boost option, and think we need at least one cash grab, I think these seem reasonably common choices. I'll think about it more tomorrow while I'm "working" as to who we bring in and trade, as there are plenty of decent options here already. It's my final day for the year, and my boss will be out for most of the day, so I should have a bit of time to go through various options. :)
Hales - > Neser gives us 5 playing bats for Round 3

Green - > Swepson
Farooqi - > Steketee

so Rashid has to be one to go to Dooley or Naveed

Ok, done. We have $9,600 after these two trades.

Haven't changed any player positions yet:

Inglis (Handscomb)
Short, Sams, Shadab, Hales, Neser (Stoinis, Gilkes)
Rashid, Tye, Hosein, Farooqi, Zampa (Steketee, Connolly)
Other two trades:
Gilkes to Webster (#3 bat on a very bat friendly ground, good BE)
Farooqi to Swepson
$28.5K

?????

Seems okay if we are trying to get rid of Gilkes.

Personally I’m going Dooley over Webster, but I’m not sure if that works positionally.

If we are comfortable that trade #4 is for a non Heat cash cow, we can potentially decide that later.

Just need to ensure Heat and Renegades are setup how we want them (VC, C and Es all set, and I generally spread the DPPs to balance out the number of on field positions that will be locked out).

Edit: we can also trade update later on in some circumstances.

Any thoughts on which bowler we bench? Leaning to Zampa or Tye on a bat friendly ground myself, but could be Rashid.

We'll be looping on Hosein (unless anyone thinks all our bowlers will score 90+). Not sure if that will affect the 4th trade at all, will work that out after the match.

Agree with your logic. Maybe if someone has a view/insight on the Heat/Scorchera pitch (eg pace vs spin) we can base it on that.

Nice start from Hosein!

Fingers crossed Stek/Neser/Swep can turn the screws and bag some wickets.

Hopefully we have been taking the opportunity to build the bank , thank god we have Hosein already

Maddinson $ 173k BE 122 should drop again after round 4

Rogers $ 171k BE 11 going up after Round 4

Richardson $ 148k BE 79 should drop again after round 4

Finch $ 141k BE -6 going up after Round 4

Mujeeb $ 102k BE 22 going up after Round 4

See what happens with the Sixers tomorrow night

Good summary.

KRicho and Mujeeb both look good to me.

Quality players at nice prices. They play again at the same venue in R5 game 2, and Mujeeb should enjoy the SCG.

Priority targets for mine.

Edit: the Geelong game is an argument for not loading up on batsmen from either team. Worth keeping in mind.
