Now, no talk about Ladhams, WOW what a game. Got a bit bang up. Poke in the eye at the first bounce smashed across the jaw in the second Qaurter, minor shoulder stinger from tackle.

59% TOG and 91 sc points

I have seen reports Hickey will miss the first few weeks...

Anyone else Tempted.
Not a fan of him going up against Witts round 1 - that'll hurt.
Didn't realise that he's only 25 years of age, I thought he was like 30, feels like he's been around forever.

Strong chance the infamous Samson Ryan (for his premature deficit debut) is a strong chance for the opening game this season. If named would anyone be tempted any Richmond fans are bullish on him long term and want to see him given a shot

Yes, after watching the game he is on the bench. Played the last qaurter and was close to best on ground. Can definetly hold down a FWD spot and be usefull as ruck rotation.

Covers the ground well and would be an improvement on Soldo who belongs down back.
Soldo is pretty much a 1 trick pony, apart from his tap work he's useless anywhere else.

Ben Miller is the preferred 2nd option, he's very mobile and can act as an extra mid at ruck contests, can play as the 3rd tall Fwd and can more than hold his own as a KPD.

That being said, Riewoldt could easily be rested for quite a few games and Lynch has had an interrupted pre season, I would think that Ryan is next in line should one of those 2 not be available.

Not for me, going with Gawn and Marshall I think, guys like Ladhams can end up being a real burden with their yoyo scoring, and he doesn't even have dpp status.

Lauchlan McAndrew seems to have high owenership. Any expectations he might crack it for a game later in the year?

He's a pretty worthless loophole so would have to win a spot on field to be worth going but he'd definitely be an interesting option over Rat if he's there round one. There's definitely a spot there for the 3rd tall/2nd ruck, imo so could be a solid pick.

No interest. Impossible price to fix if/when he busts, Hickey back in a couple of weeks, solid chance he's out round 3.

I actually think he's a good player with a future but it's after Hickey, all the things he does badly are Horse pet hates and Hickey is basically the opposite, I'd be surprised if there was really anything he could do that's better than winning the 2nd ruck role once Hickey is back.

Yes, Hickey will get the nod when he is declared fit. Which is a shame, Ladhams does look like he could go 105+ as solo Ruck

Lot of Marshall or English in how he plays, very mobile and good around the ground, pretty useless in the ruck contests, strong contested group of midfielders below to kind of cover for that to an extent. Those two are both better versions but that's him stylistically as a ruck.

A lot of Madden R3 teams. What's the plan if your ruck goes down for 1 week?
Must admit, I'm still contemplating Cameron in the fwds
Deal with it later. I reckon I've been running Jabroni at R3 from the first day I played this game unless there was a viable rookie priced ruck available. Not going to let 2023 be any different. This is one of the reason though I'm looking at giving English and Darcy and miss.

Ratugolea at F7 for me. Reckon it would be risky to have Sav as cover if he were an on field forward meaning you had to replace him with a weak F7/F8 type if one of the rucks goes down for 1-2 weeks. But Rat at F7 feels okay to me.

Who’s your F5 and F6, Ben? Those two spots the toughest for me at the moment.

Rat at F7 for me as well. The F5 & F6 vary depending on what I'm doing elsewhere. I've had structures with various combinations of Gulden, Ziebell, Flanders, Bruhn, McLean, Sheezel in those last two F spots.
