Would love some advice. I'm struggling to figure out how to get Constable on-field. Current lines are:

Docherty, Dawson, Yeo, Bowes, Jones, Ginbey (Wilmot, Constable)
Laird, Bontempelli, Green, Hopper, Worpel, Callaghan, Ashcroft, Mackenzie (Phillips, Baker, Cincotta)
Darcy, Marshall (Madden)
Dunkley, Rozee, Taranto, Gulden, Flanders, Ratugolea (Greene, Davey)

It definitely doesn't seem worth putting Ginbey or Mackenzie on the bench, so I suppose the question is:
(a) should I downgrade a mid-pricer / expensive rookie to a cheaper rookie (to justify putting Constable at D6 / M8)?
OR
(b) leave Constable on the bench?

Thanks in advance.
Bowes not looking likely so I'd stick Constable on the ground and pick Conor McKenna for the bench

You not play last year?

There were like 4 defender rookies total, the 2nd best rookie a lot had to trade in round 2/3 because he only became that after an injury in round one, the 3rd best rookie was out with an ACL before he could do much and most didn't even get his good score.

Even the "good" rookies in JHF, Ward and Stephens were a mess.

What we had last year, similar to this year, was a ton of 200k+ guys to pick from. I can't see anything close to the Brodie/Curnow/Coniglio trio this year but who knows.

I'd bet good money that Shiels plays wing round 1 and for a while, Clarko will want to win early as he's under a lot more pressure than the average new coach would be to win at a side that just won the spoon.

Their side is going to be very interesting, I reckon it's just about the hardest to pick right now, we'll see how committed Clarko is to winning now or rebuilding come round 1 though, there's so many choices that make clear statements on that position.
Yeah, I'm not sure I see a Martin, Hayes Pmac or SDK in this year's crop of cheapies.

Placeholder for Fritch I would have thought.
There's still a spot open for one of Chandler,Melksham,Woewodin I reckon and think hes clearly ahead.

Only thing that really feels up in the air is if they play the extra small defender or mid IMHO.

Lever May Rivers
Bowey Petty Brayshaw
Hunter Oliver Langdon
Neal-Bullen McDonald Fritsch
Spargo Brown Pickett
Gawn Petracca Viney
Grundy Harmes Sparrow Chandler

Would be interested to hear Crows supporters' views on Zac Taylor. Looking at him as a bit of a speculative late pick in a draft league. His junior numbers were impressive but it doesn't look like he's shot the lights out at SANFL level and didn't play in any of the pre-season games.

High hopes for him and he is somewhat in the Soligo mould but I think he is a year away from getting much game time IMO.

I'm going to enjoy Greene's score on the field in Round 1 while everyone has an expensive rookie or mid-pricer at F6 :sneaky::cool:
Actually don’t hate it to be honest. Whatever sort of minimal score the Hawks put on the board this season, he’s going to have to play a serious part in it, at least until Mitch Lewis is back. The issue I think then becomes relying on two of Chandler, Sturt, Davey, Stone(?) to round out F7 and F8, or even a less convincing option like Caminiti.

Yep, don't mind Davey at F8 but not sure about any of the other fwd rookies (bar Greene). Cheezels is also sketchy on field imo and too much coin to put on the bench.

Agree - I actually think Oscar Allen is being little overlooked also especially with Darling coming back. Roo's gave up points last week and now McKay going out should only help.

I've got Sheezel F7 currently. I'll try not to play Greene on the field against top 8 teams (Swans Round 2, Cats Round 4 etc)

Nice in theory, will see how it goes. If Sheezel puts up a big score Round 1, I'll probably run Greene F8, someone like Madden at F6 to start.

I don't mind it, but you won't enjoy it so much when you have to cover him for a quarter of the season. ;)
(Not that it's a big deal with so many trades these days.)
I almost just want to pick him for the ride. I had him for a while last year and it was fun.

Edit: which Greene are we talking about...?

Going with that at the moment as well with Sheezel at F5, Sturt and Davey as my bench, allows me to fit in most of the players that I want, I struggle to justify spending much money on an F6 when Greene should hopefully be a solid option.
