That's exactly what I did; Bruhn F6 so now instead of McLean at F6 I can now rotate him between M7, M8 and virtually swap him with all my D, M and F bench.
That's some coin in the forwards. It seems to me a week out of the opening round every year we all get really nervous about the rookies not showing up and being viable - they will. $300k at F6 must limit the team elsewhere, it would for me anyway.

It also limits the upgrade slots if there's multiple options that you want to bring into the forwards going forward.

I've got Flanders F6 and am starting to wonder if it's too heavy. The problem is as soon as you downgrade that slot, you end up 'upgrading' another value selection.

Flanders + Jelly vs McLean + Macrae/Neale is going to do my nut in right until lockout.

Whether or not to Fyfe as well. Some compelling arguments made on both sides reading the last couple of pages here. It does feel a little dirty having Flanders over SC royalty like Fyfe.

Definitely does. Backline of Doc, Yeo, Bowes/Jones/Crozier, Ginbey, McKenna, Constable.

It’s all about balance and hopefully we get some more information on McLean or Sheezel or Ratugolea that leaves me with the confidence to field them at F6.

All 5 of those guys are M/F so any of them can be swung into the mids if any must have fwds pop up. It won't actually limit you until after the bye rounds when you're looking to complete your team and you've got those 5 guys plus 2-3 must have DPPs to fit into 6 forwards. But this issue is assuming that a) they are all fit and healthy by then and b) are all performing well (which is a pretty good issue to have). I don't think anyone could be comfortable that all of Dunkley, Cogs, Taranto, Rozee and Gulden will achieve both a) and b)

Darcy Cameron somewhat written off. I still see him as a good option at F4.

Might be a good POD to Gulden who has risk with Horse as the coach.

Grundy gone, did split time with Cox preseason game but still scored 97 (albeit against the worst ruck in the comp).

Averaged 99 last season in 16 games once Grundy was ruled out.

12 games 90+.

only 1 score < 70 and that was vs Gawn.

Doesn’t play any of Witts, English, Gawn/Grundy, Darcy in the first 12 weeks.

Only plays each of those once as well.

Yeah that's still an option for me if I don't go the Witt or Gawn R1

Seriously considering going 5 premium deep in the fwds, yes it limits me to potentially to just 1 spot to fill (Gawn/ [Petracca possibly) would probably have to slingshot anyway with so many of them having the round 15 bye. Just very wary of a low score at F5/ F6 - Flanders is the only cheap option I have real confidence in :-

I've played around with a couple of structures where I take Gawn/Darcy down to DC. It's not the worst move in the world if it allows you to achieve something you really want on other lines.

In isolation he is still a viable pick with some upside, playing in a good side in a pretty secure role so if you look at it that way and you see him as a better option than any of your other "maybe picks" there is some merit.

The starting price is the main concern. As with Gulden, at $465k, he pretty much needs to be a keeper so if the upside is not there and he cant achieve premo status either as a RUCK or FWD, then you're kinda left in no mans land. The counter to that is the fact we now have 36 trades so he could still be a stepping stone if he gives you what you pay for or more.

That draw analysis certainly provides some food for thought

hahaha - I did the same this morning. I then look at the DEF line and shudder. I'm almost back to considering Daicos at $500k

Gotta love the final week before Rd 1.

Glad to see I'm not the only one running this forward line as of now.

This is where I’m at currently too, though I think McLean is more than enough for F6 and probably goes close to matching Flanders imo.

I got here mostly because I don’t like any Defenders under 600k except maybe Ridley - and there’s still questions over him - so I decided on Yeo D2.

When I look at the rookies and my preferred list of premiums, it feels very like a viable choice with the DPP letting you dance them around until it’s time to get your ducks in a row.
