Different reason now from then. Now the key forward. His not going to ruck or get around the ground as much. If he doesn’t kick goals his likely to score poorly and now he has the no 1 defender on him. I like him as an option at his price but stats from 3 years ago don’t support his rôle moving forward.
That's why I'm not starting him, pretty easy correction from Bruhn or Fyfe plus cash for a missed premo on the bubble come rnd 3.

Pretty much liken him to Bowey last year, happy to jump on for the price spike.

Only version 6 😉😉😉

Made some adjustments, dropped McKenna, Neale, Chester, in comes golden ticket Bont, Brayshaw and Bytel added, there's an article I'll post about him and Hunter Clark.

Who are you and what have you done to the real Professor ? 😉

Actually looks like a very normal looking team , NWM could be a interesting one to watch this season.

Riccardi might work with their start to the season.

Thanks Herbie, welcome back, how was India? Haven't seen you post much recently, you're on stage now. 😁

It was NWM or Ash in the mids, waiting for Hopper to pick up another knee issue, so trying to stay ahead of the game, or outsmarting myself lol. Could you post your side? Interested to see how it's looking.

Must have walked back or got a very slow rickshaw , was their in 2010 😀

Nice huge stadium for the 4th Test , no problem getting a seat.

Been taking a break , suffering from looking at my team for too long syndrome , just start the bloody season already

Ash certainly didn't stay quiet for long.

Be interesting how Hopper goes with the Richmond game style.

Side not finalised yet , need to decide if I stick with Green @ M5 & Yeo @ D1 or lose one of my premium mids for Doc (or Cumming)

Rucks are locked :-

Darcy , Marshall / Madden

Forwards are locked :-

Dunkley , Rozee , Taranto , Ziebell , Fyfe , McLean / Ratugolea, Greene

What page does he get talked up ? 😉

Certainly will be a interesting one.

Dunkley , Cogs , Rozee , Taranto all expected to be in the top bracket.

Gawn/Grundy , Parker , Petracca , Smith all possibilities for DPP.

J Cameron , Hawkins , Moore might go close aggregate wise.

Is their room for Gulden ?

I guess with all these extra trades he could be sideways out at Bye time.

This has been the most talked about question for the last week.

Too excessive in the forwards?

If it wasn't for the fact I think we'll get some good DPP forward options throughout the season (Gawn, Grundy, B.Smith in particular) I might actually be tempted to run with a team like this. Increased trades make sideways trading premiums less of an issue though so it still could work.
Realistically u can expect at least 1 of your 5 fwd premos to cop a 3 week injury at some point which means trading them. So i think u realistically will get 2 spots open up for new fwds..... and worst case and you don't you've had a charmed run with injuries and that is a win anyway.

I really like the look and balance of this team. Each line has a nice POD premium (Dale, Parish & Cunnington) and I've managed to limit the rooks on field with a handful of midpricers that I like. The midpricers I miss I should be able to trade for after Round 2 as I shouldn't need too many rookie corrections. It has a few captaincy options. Taranto (who I'm still not sold on) made his way into the side for Conigs as I needed the 50k. It's also nicely bye balanced for my current premiums.

I think I'm finally happy with my side.

Only time Allen has averaged above 70 was when he was playing as the relief ruck/forward, which won't be happening in 2023. Lone tall forward in arguably the worst team in the league, he could produce some stinkers. Sheezel if North allow him to spend time at half back or through the mids could average 70-75 with a spike game or two, but who knows how they'll use him. Had McLean all pre-season but his final practice game performance and role are concerning.

Sometimes it's hard to ignore pre-season form. Flanders was getting praise for having a big summer and he backed it up in both practice games. I think he's a good option, but whether it's at F5 or F6 is the question.
Don't forget he had 42 and 46 touches in the last 2 VFL games which were a prelim and semi final. If you are going to get sucked in by VFL numbers knock-out finals are probably the closest possible representation to an AFL game as the heat would be on big time and its against the best of the VFL teams.
