Let's be clear, the salary and contract caps can not be exceeded.
I'd love to be exceeding the salary and contract caps, but our advice has been clear, DO NOT EXCEED THESE CAPS.
I make no apologies. That's been the plan, that's been the expectation and that's been the explanation.
I just want to remind drafters who are thinking that this is not serious, these are the very real consequences:
- Quadruple the excess salary will be deducted from the team's salary cap for the following year (2021).
- Contract years must be altered to under the cap. Where that is not possible, quadruple the excess years will be deducted from the team's contract cap for the following year (2021).
- Teams must always remain at or below the salary and contract caps. Therefore, teams will need to trade their way to eligibility before round 1 commences.

KLo30 also asked Drafters to stay vigilant during Stage 5+ drafting takes place.
“I know it’s easy to think that with such low case numbers of errors, maybe the worst has passed, maybe this is over. I just want to remind every Drafter this is very, very fragile,” he said, “We saw a spike in numbers over a couple of days. We have had outbreaks in lots of different sections right across the draft.

Is everyones round 1 teamsheet working/ should they be working yet?
I am again working off a manual sheet (not live), as Blicavs isn't available as a ruck.
I stupidly assumed everyones sheets weren't working for the draft section and cost me $325k in this years cap, so thought I'd check if the Round 1 worksheet is final or still under construction.
I have put a note re Blicavs either way, hope that suffices Sho.

I finalised everyone's list this morning (fell asleep before the deadline last night), and pushed the up date through about 6:30am my time.
The one of the main purposes of using Google Sheets is that it is live for everyone. I'd discourage using offline versions, and that teams check their entries and that trades have been processed correctly once confirmed.

I hate using offline, however I thought due to workload everyones new players weren't coming through to their team sheet in PreSeason Draft workbook. I know how much you do already, so wasn't going to ask you to do it! Hence I did it offline, pulled all my purchased players at auction through to that page (little did I know it was doing it live for others post auction and during draft). I went back and looked, I changed the $1m for richards in 2023 down to $975k in my offline version, not the live version - so I'm the idiot, screwed up all my planning and pain now felt for years to come!
Anyway, my team now in. I may have 4 rucks this week, wonder how long that will last!
