Hollands owner and Essendon supporter too; LOL.
I think Hollands' 56 was quite generous especially when 3 of the possessions was in 1 play (iirc).
What I do like is Hollands worked so hard to get the ball and 'elite running into space', but the ball just didn't get to him.
Was hoping Hollands' left foot helicopter point was a goal
Very happy (and lucky) to get 56 but hopefully gets a few more games where the ball does go to him.

I would be very surprised if Hollands doesn't get a 2nd game if they watch the highlights.
It was his work rate when off the ball and giving options for his teammates, but ball simply didn't get to him.
Normally, I don't watch Carlton games nor care, but due to SuperCoach (Saad, Docherty, Hollands, Cowan*), I may need to watch them all....

It is and it isn't. Players can start and go anywhere that's true, but sometimes, and I mean sometimes, team selection sheets are indicative of validating some preseason roles. I mean if Bruhn was named on the ball I'd be much more certain in taking him than on the bench with Atkins and similar for Gulden. Now it's entirely possible that both Gulden and Bruhn both get some midfield minutes but it shows no major changes to roles. Setterfield being named in the centre gives me some clarity on what his role is likely to be.
Disagree entirely. There may be teams that are more honest than others, and that may be an experiment worth looking at, but for the most part they don't want to give anything away / don't care.
Geelong (in regards to Bruhn) have named Smith in the backline (will play wing), Holmes in the middle (will play mostly wing), Tuohy on the wing (will play backline), Blics on the wing (may play wing, may play inside mid, will play back-up ruck) - so how can you take anything out of that?
Also the benches named currently will change when the final 22 & sub are confirmed.
You may be able to get more info from the final team 1 hour before the match (using benches to work out who is playing where) but where Bruhn/Gulden is named is irrelevant. Josh Daicos is named in the mids, Simpkin is named on the wing, Macrae is named on the wing, Rozee is named in the forwards etc.
