Stewart to Daicos/Rich/Ryan
Daicos is the safe choice and to be honest looked exceptional and even called for the ball from his teammates when he shouldn't have (that's great from a SC point of view)

Only concern was he 'only' scored 129 and i thought that game was a 140+ game and I expect more attention to him.

Good argument that Daicos could have scored more if Cats didn't kick so straight

I think Daicos a safe option and I am likely trading in Daicos but don't mind Rich or Ryan
I tend to agree about Daicos now. Hard to get a bead on him as a 2nd year player after one preseason game but once the real stuff started, he didn't drop a beat. You'd think he would get to a hundred safely most weeks. He's priced 5 or 10 ppg less than that so should be safe. At 100ppg, there's much better value to be had. At 110ppg, it gets murkier, especially as he'd be a keeper with that sort of return.

Gotcha. Thanks for that. And to NT Thunder for the link.

Yeah I didn't see the final quarter of the Crows/GWS game so didn't know about his fade out. Maybe the heat knocked him around too?
Absolutely possible but he did fade out a lot earlier than others.

JHF is one I'm certainly keeping an eye on as is Daicos, Worpel and Ziebell. Like @dlanod said in another post it does look to be chasing points but the role JHF had round 1 and in his last preseason game look really good.

My problems early look like being Fyfe and Jones as a priority with Flanders and Bazlenko a watch, maybe another week.

Fyfe looked terrible but not only that, if ever I feel there was a game that Fyfe would be thrown in the middle to be that 'impact' player, yesterday was it late in the third and last qtr, didn't happen. So I'm thinking JL is true to his word, Fyfe may not have the capacity to run through the middle now or JL feels he has a strong enough midfield that has surpassed Fyfe. Either way that game was a clear red flag for me.

Jones was a cover pick, probably FOMO more than anything, the silver bullet to run a light backline.

I was initially thinking a boost which feels a little rage trade being Fyfe, Bazlenko and Jones out with JHF, Daicos and Sheezel in.

Now I'm thinking maybe Fyfe & Jones to Cole & Ziebell - this lets me look at JHF, Bazlenko, Flanders and Daicos/Young another week along with Sheezel to take on the bubble if he gets through another week.
Im Jumping early on Sheezel, looks as if he has found his place at HB. Panic with Bruhn and due to Ownership went to Fyfe.

Hopper to Phillips is another i might do early Hopper looked hopeless.??? Or may wait nd see JHF this week. He was impressive against Brisbane.?

Need Max....

On Freo whats with all the chip mark stuff in DEF against St Kilda.?? Where the Saints set up that well in front of the Ball.??? Bizarre tactic.

I realise that - but what if Chandler/Comben, Bytel & Phillips all become must-have rookies after Round 2? There is your 3 correction trades chewed up.

There is definitely merit to squeezing in an extra trade or 2 now so your ducks are lined up for the abundance of options that might present themselves next week.
Thinking the same way.

3 this week another 3 next week then sit and watch the cows graze,

Shocking start with a couple speculative picks that have taken 1 week so show they were a bad decision, and a couple injuries, feel like I need to use the boost to really fix some holes and not have a repeat week or it’s season over

I think you have to stick with your pre-season read after a one game sample. Got to take a stand and have set opinions unless you get enough data to change your mind.

FYI, your read on Daicos is my read as well, I watched that game and he was just allowed to run freely anywhere he wanted with no attention. Cats justifiably a bit arrogant being the reigning premiers so probably thought they didn't need to put attention into him.

He got 129 SC points off 35 touches, I know CD had him down for 10 contested possessions in the game but if you watch him, he's almost completely an outside player. The tags are coming and his scores will plummet as a result IMO, because he can't get his own ball. He's a fantastically skilled player but just about all of what he does is circle-work. On the other hand, Cats were quite accurate so feasibly Daics could have had more touches as he took a number of kick ins as well. Overall for me, he's probably a bit of a trap. Will go large against teams that don't tag, but not so much against teams that do.
How many teams will tag him though? Hawthorn and GWS seem likely. I'm probably missing some, but I don't recall many teams tagging regularly.

People were saying the same thing about Sinclair last year as well, but he was only tagged in a couple games late in the year. The current crop of coaches don't seem to favour tagging.

THanks Shannon i have found the link to the Site.

Max at only 45% surprises me, got me thinking already. Might just stay with Darcy and Marshall

Laird just had a shocker.......puts in another game below 100 and will hemerage cash.
Setters and JHF on big watch.

Bytel and Phillips need to be brought in this week or the next.

Fyfe to Sheezel first trade of 3.

(Edit: Repying to Dlanod re: Rachelle)

Started looking into it a bit and statistically at least, yeah he had 12 touches in the first half and only 6 in the second. He did keep his scoring up though, which was cool but largely on the back of the 2 second half goals. His SC split for the 2 halves was 66/50 which is none too shabby. But 116 points off 18 disposals and 3 goals isn't sustainable.

Not that we'd need 115 from him, of course. As he is only 287k, he really only needs 90-95 over that softer part of his draw to be a solid win. Will watch how he goes against Richmond this week. If he gets up over 80 points again with a bit of time in the centre, I reckon I might pull the trigger

Lot of teams are playing a high tempo game where they moving the ball quickly, seemed to be less contested ball at centre bounces also

Scored 2008 with Stewart, Jones, Fyfe
The question is to be aggressive and use a boost now and get Daicos in for Stewart, get Chandler in for Fyfe leaving 533k to upgrade jones. Likely upgrade would be to go Ridley

Or wait on Fyfe and Jones another round, but will be limited with rookie correction cause I'm missing Pedlar, Bytel, Chandler, Phillipou
Grabbing one this round allows me to get potentially 2 the following round but with very limited funds.
