Bumping this... because I think I'm going to hold onto my trades this week. Nothing jumps out at me. Another bad week from Bowes and he's gone I reckon. Happy to hear any other thoughts though.
I tend to agree, nothing jumping out to me either. Nice work.

Option 4 seems quite DEF heavy, especially if you plan to switch Sheezel or Ziebell back (although I’m unclear on why this is so popular).

Option 1 looks by far the best if you think Ryan is a good rookie. English and Daicos both look like top liners.

I’m a bit unsure on Ryan - he got subbed off with two disposals in R3 - but can see the potential for good scoring if he gets some ruck time. Could you get JVR instead? Or Will Phillips or even M Johnson?

Option 2 and 3 both look okay. I’d rather compromise my premos outside of the ruck line if that’s the tradeoff.
Yes, I could get JVR instead of Ryan. I have Ryan slightly ahead of him at this stage due to the possibility of being the number 1 ruck. Richmond play before Melbourne so I should be able to see where he lines up at the first CBA and make a change if necessary.

I like Ryan also due to his RUC eligibility (he’d be F8). Traded Darcy to Cameron to Nank to English so really want that coverage if possible.

Hate watching Pies and WB games atm without Daicos and English and seeing them kill it.

Option 2 is probably my second favourite but feels so wrong going to Darcy after what I’ve done and Grundy will need to be traded out once Gawn returns.

Stewart feels sensible but I'm tempted by Saad. Four tons in four games is no flash in the pan, he's now tonned up in 18 of his past 25. Top tier in intercepts, metres gained and disposal efficiency. Someone give me reasons for/against
Difficult to argue against. Only missed one game in the past two seasons and averaged 103 last year. Can't see him playing any other role and no threat from ZWilliams for the whole season. Probably the only consideration is the forward tag. Not sure if he's ever been targeted.

i'm in the same predicament.

I am ranked 50k and after top 5k last year, am looking to rise up the ranks.

So by selecting Saad, i have a pod who may will help me to rise up the ranks through his incredible consistency.

However, I like Stewart as an option as well, His r13 bye is suitable, and believe he has a much higher ceiling then saad. Also despite last years inconsistencies he had a fairly good year. He had two poor scores where he went 39 and 48 after he was injured and got tagged, and other then these games 14/15 games he scored above 95 and averaged 124.3. This provides me with confidence that he will be a strong pick this year as long as he stays fit and healthy.

bit of a 50-50, but i think i will go stewart.

Other interesting stat is over the first four rounds Carlton have conceded the 4th most I50s but have conceded the third lowest number of goals and are leading the comp for R50s. That's a perfect recipe for Saad and his role. Question is do they keep it up?

Have a gut feeling he will have an injury at some stage, either hammy or calf.

The defence has been elite, but the midfield has been pretty poor.

We've lost clearances most weeks (-4, -3, +5, -11) but I think we'll turn that around with Kennedy/Walsh back now.. hopefully!

Did anyone watch the Melbourne game last week. I keep reading rivers played in the midfield, is that true?

I'm also trying to rise up through the ranks but sitting closer to 5K.

The rest of my team is just so vanilla, I feel like taking Stewart would be more of the same. But if Saad doesn't work out, down the rankings I go.

I don’t think you need to make any hasty moves. If Ginbey stalls then next week you could trade him out for Williams via Sheezel DPP & upgrade Bowes to Day.
Yep, I feel the same way. My ranking's rubbish (44k) but I can't help but feel like things will turn.

I tend to agree, nothing jumping out to me either. Nice work.
FIngers crossed the patience pays off this week!
