Thinking about banking some cash and jumping on a couple of bubble boys, maybe.....

Doc > T Young ( had a price rise already but still a low BE)
Chesser > Pickett
200k ITB for Setters + Wilmot? > Clarry + Williams next week

My season is pretty much shot anyway so I might as well have a bit of fun.

If Matt Johnson selected for full game, anyone picking him. feels a sleeper choice.

JVR - could be ok this week if Perry about, however, once Gawn back then Grundy goes forward. am I overly concerned about this.

Worpel > Libba

Mackenzie > Gulden

Option 4 seems quite DEF heavy, especially if you plan to switch Sheezel or Ziebell back (although I’m unclear on why this is so popular).

Option 1 looks by far the best if you think Ryan is a good rookie. English and Daicos both look like top liners.

I’m a bit unsure on Ryan - he got subbed off with two disposals in R3 - but can see the potential for good scoring if he gets some ruck time. Could you get JVR instead? Or Will Phillips or even M Johnson?

Option 2 and 3 both look okay. I’d rather compromise my premos outside of the ruck line if that’s the tradeoff.
I can only give my reasoning for moving Sheezel back.

Currently have Chandler on the bench with the possibility of Williams being on the bubble next week, I reckon Wilmot/Cowan would be ready to, or near ready to trade, If I trade one of them to Williams (can't see any Def rookies being available) then I can move Sheezel back, field Chandler and get a poor scoring Def rookie off the field, shoring up my weak Def in the process.

Stewart feels sensible but I'm tempted by Saad. Four tons in four games is no flash in the pan, he's now tonned up in 18 of his past 25. Top tier in intercepts, metres gained and disposal efficiency. Someone give me reasons for/against
Strongly considered earlier today, but have decided against. Currently averaging 12 points higher than last season, which in turn was 20 points higher than season before, which for a 28yo feels atypical and maybe points to the ball just being at that end of the field a lot in the first 4 rounds like someone else said. Then again I'm about as boring a SC player as any, and likely to just take Stewart and be done, so definitely could do worse!

Still strongly considering. Have chesser with no mid to loop, so I could take him for Tyler young this round, or I could wait until Ziebell/sheez DPP next round, swing one back to def, davey to fwd, and then trade chesser for Johnson.

Risky to pass on young though with Johnson the only mid rookie 1 game player that has a decent score. Would love if anyone had insight on his JS with all of WCs injuries and his scoring potential.

Note Matt Johnson is Freo and has played 2 games as a sub. BE 30 so maybe could still get him next week if we go JVR this week.

Assuming he is named in the 22, I'll be trading him in. I think he's a good size and what Freo need. The fact he may end up unique because his first two games were as sub (and low scoring) makes it an added bonus.

Whoops. Was actually talking about Luke Edwards, saw your logo, put 2 and 2 together and came up 5.

My point still stands on Edwards, but good to know Johnson has a BE that will keep his price reasonable next round. That makes me inclined to hold chesser as essentially I get an extra rookie to look at for a trade next week.

Looking at options for this week for my team, and I really can’t make a case for any trades this week.

Going down to a on the bubble rookie when I have a lot of cows not quite ripe doesn’t feel like the go to move, despite JVR being tempting. If Gawn wasn’t looming, I probably would be strongly considering it.

Kysiah Pickett would be on my mid pricers to consider list, but not keen on using two trades to get him in as I have under 10k in the bank. Looks like I have to be boring this round and be more passive.

Noting his BE is 33, so I think we pick MJ if you think JVR cannot get more than two games. MJ will like go up $25k if he scored an 80, so still a chance next week.

I'm going with Kossie this week, his big score in rnd 1 will drop out after next week but he scored an 89 last week with 2.5, has a great run coming up, BE-24, he'll need to score well to make him worthwhile. I'm a long way back, but the potential for pts and cash gen is something I have to take a risk with. Trading Chesser to him to get things moving.
