I’m interested to hear why some coaches aren’t keen on JVR this round.

$124k rookie on the bubble averaging 70 who will very likely play the required 6-7 games this season in order to make enough cash.

Will he play all 6-7 matches in a row? Possibly not, but does that really matter?

Surely he’s not being fielded every week so is it that big an issue if he possibly misses games throughout the season?
I think everyone is worried about Gawn coming back soon & if JVR makes way for him.

I'm trading Davey to JVR to give me the extra funds to go Doc/Dawson.

JVR breakeven of -71 is too good to resist for me

For me I have Chandler at F6, with Greene and Caminiti on the bench and not culling any of these. Only mid rookie I would consider getting rid of is Davey but would mean playing JVR at F5. Hmm don't think its worth it

Yeah that’s fair.

Teams with Greene and Caminiti make sense to give JVR a miss.

I'm actually torn between taking Michalanney at an inflated price but with the added extra of JS and good scoring potential vs JVR with limited JS and probably less scoring potential? I'm still carrying Chesser and Constable and with Davey out not sure I can take too much more.

I'm completely stumped guys. The only way for me to go Doch > Dawson and bring in JVR with only Comben to spare out of the FWD line, is to do three trades.

So many of you are going to disagree with this, but yet another boost is to be exhausted.

I tried Doch, Comben, Chesser - not enough. Early sale on Davey grants me Dawson, an uber cash cow in JVR, and the guy replacing Nank for my Tigers who's on 19 BE.

I will say it again and hope for the best, barring any injuries™ - my team going into the Round 5 and hopefully a couple more, is:

Criticise away fellas, I'm numb to the suffering lol

Thinking Davey > Ryan to fund Docherty > Stewart but would mean having to play Ryan/Caminiti on-field at the expense of Mackenzie.

Mackenzie's CBAs have dried up so his scoring may suffer, but can Ryan/Caminiti be trusted on field for a few weeks until upgrade season? Other option is Docherty > Lloyd/Dale/Baker straight up but not sure I trust them to keep averaging premo numbers, and Stewart is a safe bet.

Trade Davey or Worpel for JVR ?
Gut says Worpel still has some decent scores in him, however if he goes 70 this week his cash gen is dead. Davey should still have another $50k in him, at the least ..

Prefer Richards to Florent around that price range.
If not him then I'd prefer a Stewart (as one example) and T. Young duo vs. Florent/MM

For those considering Samson Ryan, indications are it could be quite rainy and wet for tomorrow nights game.

I would have to go to a wagner who its his first game to afford to do that.

If it were a week later, I would be 100% trading Chesser for JVR and shifting either Ziebell or Sheezel to defender line. Just not the right timing for me unfortunately.
