Sorry for the delay, I've gone JVR ahead of him.

Samson better JS but worse scoring imo.
JVR getting a gig with Brown in the side too is handy, Dee's should be winning their next few by a fair margin.
All good.

I also have JVR ahead of Samson, however I can boost in Samson this round.

Do you think it’s worth it or would I be better to just go without Samson and use the 2 trades only this round?

Preseason I was all for Samson and wanted him playing round 1.

Now I don't think he's worth bringing in with all the tigers key outs.

Tonight's a decent match up, Ladhams definitely stronger than him, but not a great player, and the Swans seemingly have no KPDs playing.

But then he has Grundy /& Gawn? and possibly Witts the next two, just don't think it will go to well.

I thought Dimma wants him more as a key forward and I anticipate he only gives Miller a chop-out every now and then, despite being named in the ruck this week.

With 4 DNP's on the bench and having 150k ITB my bench cows is not looking so great
Madden, Davey, Chesser, Constable - Bench cows consist of JVR, Greene, Baker, Cowan.

Already trading in JVR this round and Doc to Stewart

Am I better off using a second boost for Samson Ryan or Johnson? or even Will Phillips, he has the best scoring potential
Trading in Samson Ryan means having to field him unless I trade out Madden, I am liking Chesser to Johnson but unsure on his JS,
Or just hold the 3rd trade and 150k, try upgrade around them and get Cogs when he bottoms out in the next couple of rounds

I think he'll do well. I'm weighing up between JVR with poor JS and Johnson.
As everyone knows there's so many important things to consider with rookies and one of them is BE and getting the first increase price change.
If you have to grab one of these fellas there is just over 100 difference in BE...JVR will almost definitely rise in price, at least once, Johnson could, theoretically, go down in price. Unfortunately JVR 'only' scored a 53 in his second game, the scoring trend is down but still ok-ish.

Let’s hope for a spike game to roll through is price increase. Hopefully they give Gawn a few weeks to ease back in to be safe, Grundy has shown is more that capable as a ruck around the ground solo and has a good run these next few weeks especially with Nankervis and possibly Witts being out.

Just looking for some confirmation from the community here that this is not a stupid decision. After trading Pou early last week and carrying Constable, Chesser and Madden, I'm seriously concerned about my cash gen. So I'm thinking rather than trading Davey to get from Doch to Stew, I'm going to just go Doch down to Barrass and bank the cash. This let's Davey get another price rise (-1 BE) when he comes back. Also considering Chesser to Samson to remove a dead rookie for one with seemingly rock solid JS. Are these okay moves or am I better just getting Stew and dealing with problematic cash gen later?

Team for reference.

Dimma has been quoted saying they think his future is as a key fwd yeah.

Dimma's team sheets have been a load of **** for a decade now, wouldn't read into that.

Doesn't really matter where he ends up spending his time after this week, May and Lever won't make it easy for him, Ballard and Collins no pushovers either, add that to the Tigs just being a bit cactus in general.

If Johnson scores lets say a 60 this week he'll only go to around $135k. Worth waiting a week for him and grabbing JVR this week (JS issues aside)?
Yeah, I'm leaning to JVR this week, although a mid DG would be preferable. Whilst I think Johnson will be a good scorer, waiting a week isn't the worst (in a full game against GCS I think he could push 80 - I think his role will be great).

You've still got mid pricers that will be making you money like Hopper/Setterfield so it's not too bad. Most people will still have Constable and at least one of Davey or Madden. Would get rid of Chesser for one of the rookies on the bubble personally, did it last week (got Phillips for him) so I think yeh it's worth doing for longer term cash gen.

Had Doc and Nank to deal with this week so I've moved them out, they're currently represented by Stewart and Darcy. That's option 1, and probably the only one that doesn't see me using a (third!) boost this week.

Option 2 is to go English and a DEF cash cow - but Michalanney is locked out which really only leaves T Young. Not really a fan of this option. (I need a defender, no D/M swing right now - that will change next round.)

Then after that we're looking at boosts. The most reasonable out looks to be Callaghan, and him to JVR gets me both Stewart and English. If I weren't already down two boosts this would feel like a no brainer, but I can't escape the thought that this is going to bite me later.

Am I basically on the right track here?

Help me out guys. Have traded Doch out:

1.Dale, or other single trade under 551k

2. Stewart and a rookie trade to free up cash. I just can't see where the rookie trade comes from. I'd like Stewart, (as I would have liked Dawson last night), but nothing feels right. Maybe Menzie > JVR

Anyone see anything worth doing? Could also use a boost. Thanks for any feedback.

An 80 and he'll still only be in the $140ks and definitely worth getting next week and a viable downgrade. JVR is pretty much now or never. Will be going Johnson next week if he plays himself into their 22 this weekend and JVR this week, hopefully has another spike score in the next few rounds.

Have you considered Kossie Pickett for Fin Call via Long's DPP as part of Option 2, although Pickett is the cash cow instead of a dud rookie?

As a Round 1 owner of Bailey Dale who traded him out after Round 2 as he (and the Dogs) looked awful, I've got no issue with you bringing him in this round as he now looks great in the role he has and is accumulating the possessions I thought he would from day dot.

ooooh, just went I was comfortable paying up for Samson over JVR.

You think JVR keeps his spot once Gawn is back?
