Not sure if anyone has seen this twitter poster before (I think it has been linked here once or twice previously), but he is an accredited AFL umpire who generally gives a fair response to most controversial decisions, and it's interesting reading.

It will be interesting to see what happens this week with regards to this one from the AFL, if anything.

The Umpires during the last 1/4 where horrendous.

The passage of play you have mentioned was more of a penalty than the contested ball in the air. How was it missed.

Also, what is the logic of a field umpires 15 metres from the ball calling play on, but the FWD field umpire 100 meters away calls a free kick.??
