Hi Brett,
Nice looking side! Needless to say, awesome midfield setup. Intrigued with the S.Fisher selection.....you think he can recapture his glory days this late in his career?
Av 92 in his games last year. If fit is a cheaper def prem to seriously consider

I hadn't considered him really but given the absence of Swallow, Hanley, McVeigh, Bartel etc in defence we have to think outside the square! Will definitely be plenty of ball down back for him at StKilda. Worried though that with the generational change going on at the club he may not be a walk up start anymore. That, and he has his injury issues as you alluded to. Great POD if it comes off that's for sure!

Would almost be guaranteed a walk up start due to the saints lacking on field experience and leadership

Ok here goes, would appreciate any feedback on my current side (changes daily)

*Tossing up my D3 spot (Newnes, Hurn, Birchall even Houli) still no closer to making a decision
*Same with my F4, got Motlop in there atm but likely to change that
*Not really looking for much rookie feedback, I have done some research but atm they are just plugs filling holes its too far out to have anyone with certainty
*I put Rocky in last night after reading ROWSUS article on him, it will likely either be him or GAJ

Delighted with my mids at this stage 4 guns and SSelwood is my smokey at this stage and still have a bit of cash in the bank - $75k

Any feedback on players and structures is appreciated

Cheers

Overall not a bad effort. Couple of notes, Ben Reid can't be selected as a defender this year and has injured his good calf so buyer beware if you are considering putting him forward. Also, not a fan of KPFs, so I wouldn't go with Cloke unless you like frustration. Also interesting that you have chosen not to start the year with Ablett, not sure he will drop enough to be a target later (he typically doesn't).

Swivel you look a bit mid priced with Newnes, S Selwood, Motlop and Mitchell all uncertain keepers

I reckon try Selwood to a rookie and the other 3 up and see what you think. He looks to be the player squeezing the cap there. Is he going to be a genuine premium mid 110+ or will he need upgrading himself? If the latter it's usually better to just put a rookie in that spot.

On Mitchell are we thinking he's now best 22? It's still a stacked midfield at the Swans and he's in the same queue as last year.

On titch I think the new contract and Eski leavinh has people thinking he's got some JS. Had some kind of injury last year as well.

Ive still got my concerns about his JS but if he does look safe, I think I'll have to find a way to get him in. I'm pretty sure he knows he owes a lot of us fantasy coaches from last year and will want to make amends :p

It's a worry that Cunningham and Lloyd overtook him last year. I know he was injured for part of the season but for other parts he was playing and just not getting a look in. If he was cheaper I'd be very tempted but at $400K it's a big price to pay hoping he plays 22 games.

On the plus side the Swans made sure he didn't leave which is a great sign. Surely sooner or later he'll be best 22. It's whether it is this year.

He's certainly a crowd favourite on the back of that burst late in 2013.

Like many, I'm hoping Titch gets a regular gig as he looks to have reasonable upside. If he isn't in the Swans best 22 however, then which players are viable SC options around his price range? Would people consider Bont ($422k) or Betts ($426k) or possibly drop down to a Mayne ($382k) or even a speculative B.Brown at $358k? Any others?

Unsure of who to go with rocky and ibbo versus ward and fisher
Both great teams mate.
Like the Fisher pick !
Huge midfields, surely we will be able to find 6 rookie starting players who play round 1. This is my only concern but you could downgrade Selwood a little to get some dearer playing rookies if need be.
There's a theory getting around that Read will be a better option than Cox at R3 as Collingwood play early more often than Geelong and if there was a late out in the rucks you wouldn't be able to swing TBC back for cover.
Much coin left over ?
Top job, well done, miss our workplace supercoach chats.

Or you just avoid that price range altogether?

There are so many good M/F options to choose from you could probably give that price range a wide berth.

Some of those names reek of mid priced frustration down the track

Thats a good point and probably part of my thinking as there don't look like too many good options in that price range.

Excellent team Courtesans.
Is cookie cutter but I believe most of these guys are must haves.
Have read reviews on most of this years rookies but I must say I don't know much about McGuinness. Have you heard much about him or is he just there as a filler at this stage ?
Excellent structure with a potential 14 keepers.
We have 21 of the same players at the moment but my team seems to change daily.
Hard to fault this team Courtesans - top job.

Also Cox is the cheapest dual position R/F but Read from Geelong or O'Brien from Adelaide will give you a few more loopholing options.
Hi Freowho, can I ask what you mean by more loopholing options? Do Geelong and Adelaide generally play at different times / days in the round?

They generally play later in the round than Coll in the early part of the season. Thus better for loophole flexibility.
