Going to be a very interesting season next year, how many of the older premium mids get forward status will have a huge impact, names like Pendlebury, Kelly, Cripps, Coniglio, Dangerfield, Fyfe, Billings and the like will have big impacts.

Really like Daniel Rioli as an early option, strong preseason learning half back to replace Houli I think he's capable of mid 90s, similar to Hind/Dale/Ziebell/Hall/Impey/Cumming this year. Might even have the D/F dual position for an added bonus, like him much more as a FWD so hopefully gets that at a minimum.

Bailey Dale I actually like a lot again next year as a DEF, especially if they find someone to or Schache looks able to fill the 2nd tall role well as will free Dale further to be more of a pure offensive weapon and he's gifted in that role.

Jordan Dawson will be a very interesting option, has gone to another level playing wing the 2nd half of the season, whether he's at Sydney would be a major spanner.

De Goey, Stringer and Thomas all finished so strongly and should all retain forward status, Butters has to be considered with how he started, Bolton also definitely flashed the potential to go to a higher level. Heeney if playing the right role will always be on the radar, especially given he's even cheaper this year, needs a flawless preseason though given his durability problems. Walters at least needs to be watched closely, especially if he can have a full preseason with Cerra gone and no obvious young replacement right now.

Hall will be a very intriguing prospect down back, was a great coaching move and flourished in the role, underpriced based on the period before going back and has genuine Lloyd level potential. Historically half back is one of the most durable positions going around as well so mitigates that factor to a large extent.

Serong will be interesting value, finished strongly, will be their 2nd best midfielder behind Brayshaw (Fyfe fading out of the primary mid role to try and keep him healthy if nothing else) and has serious fantasy chops. Probably too early but wouldn't shock me if he has a season approaching what Walsh just did.

T. Adams will be very underpriced, another that needs an absolutely flawless preseason for mine but he's a 115 type guy if he's fit. Neale an even better option if the preseason is there. J. Berry doesn't have proven premium level but he'll be so insanely cheap that he'd be a must pick anyway and could even sneak forward status given how little he played and his time spent there because he's underdone.

Laird will be severely underpicked, imo, next year but his fantasy resume is as good as anyone and he presents a really strong opportunity to go to a higher level given he does everything, though I'm not sure the Crows improve next year and the Crouch factor is legit.

OMc is a guy I'll watch very closely in the finals, looks to have found "it" over the back third of the season and I like how he does a bit of everything well and the strength of midfield helps his ruckwork further, underpriced after a very slow start from the poor preseason I believe he had, iirc. Rucks are going to be a nightmare next year with very strong cases that Grundy and Gawn are both under and over priced to equal measures, NicNat so unreliable physically and Darcy even worse possibly!

Mills like Laird will be absurdly unique, his durability is becoming an issue also though and would be another who needs a perfect preseason, still the way he plays he's got 120+ potential for sure, especially in a potentially strong side with very few midfield competitors, especially from a ball use and kicking perspective.

Gulden is another who will be interesting to watch in preseason, already playing a really strong role and putting points on the board but he does everything you want in a fantasy star. I think he's somewhere in between Merrett and Zorko as a player and I don't just mean stylistically, I think he can push towards that level as well, next year might be a year early though.

McKay I think is going to be very interesting next year, he's underpriced from a couple of injury games, add a Cerra and fit Cripps, both maybes, Williams fit as well, Docherty back, Newman all season and I think the Blues can be an improved side, especially if Curnow can help run interference for him. Not huge on picking those KPF types but think he's the obvious candidate to push towards 95. Daniher to a lesser extent also I think fits this bill with another strong preseason behind him. Would be rollercoasters for sure but think the potential is there.

Howe is going to be really cheap for the Pies, not sure he can reach the 100+ anymore but I think 90s is definitely still well within him.

Connor Nash is definitely one to watch, assuming he keeps FWD status, midfield move suited him very well and from what I've heard it was a Mitchell idea so would seem likely to continue, showed the ability to average 90+, imo.

Ton of others to digest at this point but figured I'd go a few names that probably aren't as obvious as some others of guys I'm watch listing early.

Taranto's borderline 2022 MID/FWD status was fun while it lasted (all of one week).
No chance of staying the MID/FWD side of the percentages if this first term is anything to go by for the rest of todays game.
Serious question: if finals don't count for the purposes of a player's average/price into next year, why do they count for their position?

Yeah, though it was H&A season definition given not all teams play finals.

On a second point, Bryce magic number looks a little low. Using $5,500, I think I will get to 12 players (3/5/2/2) incl Sicily, 3 x $220k and 15 x $150k
