Fair bit to say about going with your gut in the end. Your side looks good to you after the research, fine I reckon. Don’t over complicate it. One of us will win it. The share market is what it is about with rookies, go after them as the weeks go by. Beware of buying the iffy premium thereafter. 2c

Don't know about this one at all, but I've tried to go for 'realistic' in terms of rookies. 3 premo mids, yikes!
I will happily drop down to cheaper rookies if they are playing and have decent JS, and the funds will turn Sicily back into a midfield premo.

Come on go all the way 😀

Neale @ M1 + 10 rookie mids

Full premium defence , ruck , Duncan for Rachele

Dunkley as VC early doors

Darcy , Grundy , Lloyd , Neale as C options

If there were rookie 10 mids that looked like 60+ or 70+ prospects, why not?

Missing out on the best cash generation otherwise right ;)

Isn't the game all about following where the rookies are picked ?

6-0-2
1-0-10
2-0-1
4-2-2 (Heeney , Butters + Cogs & Curnow)

Bench uses expensive placeholders

I've found my passion again for SC this pre-season, can't get enough of it and feeling young again - LOL I'm only 47 anyway!!!

I know there's a long way to go but I'm busy planning and seeing peoples thoughts, I think I'm a lot more receptive to critism on my team than I have been over the years but here I am so far going into the pre-season.

The current issue I have is getting the good rookies in and hearing JHF dominate the intra today makes me think I need him in there but for who. Perez possibly goes down to a playing defender that will no doubt raise their hand prior to round 1 but it's really not enough to go from a base rookie to JHF. I'm probably going to have to go Rowell down which poses my question of Player X vs player Y.

Thoughts on Rowell & Martin VS JHF & Duncan (+$100k) - the $100k could be used to upgrade maybe Sicily to Ridley/Hall I guess or even Petracca up to Macrae.

The game never gets any easier does it!

Dawson is a watch but could be Hall/Ridley

Martin could be a Heeney - ideally I'd like to get to Duncan but will track them all preseason regarding recovery from injury and even Butters could become one of these also depending on how he tracks these next few weeks.

It's good to be back in the game.

I for one am very glad you have found your passion again , one of the more enjoyable/knowledgeable posters on this site and not afraid to share advice/insights/suggestions/thoughts.

Look forward to more of your posts.

Your SC record over the last decade is amazing.

That's a cracking team at this early point IMO - honestly, just love it and I'll be taken a sneaky screen capture and archiving it with my other draft teams. For me I'd probably move Crisp to Sicily and use the money in the forwards whether it was to get someone like Curnow or even Rachele but looks great.

Like others have mentioned previously the only sticking point is making sure you have enough C/VC options

Couldn’t fit Erasmus & Stephens in but happy with the overall look.
I thought Goater was a nickname in the training reports! Trying to think who it could be.
Pity he won't get to play against Shepherd.

Any mail on Rowell? Promised so much before the first injury hit, however didn’t quite get back there. For a mid pricer in the mids you’d want some confidence he’s going to make $150k or be top 8 mid. Can’t see him doing either.
Also I must’ve missed the Coleman mail - why is he a lock in many back lines?

View attachment 39154 might need to squeeze Fin Macrae if warranted.
May go to 5 premium midfield still. In a Golding pattern right now
Solid team - as always rookie availability will determine structure a bit, I prefer one more premium in mids than backline, but DEF rookies looking a bit thin on the ground
Probably worth finding cash for JHF too

Really hope he play it safe on Mills with that injury. Same kind of thing that basically ended Deledio and Brad Johnson's career so very important we take an extra month or two if it's needed.

Too good and too important to our future to take even a speck of a chance with him.
