I almost went English but chickened out for Gawn today.

Stef on the bench is a good sign though for owners. First crack to the blondie.
Same here with me but chickened out of Marshall for Gawn.

I just don’t have it in me to take that level of risk on a starting side, I felt somewhat compelled to go a different route in structure due to a lack of pods this year but in other years I’ve never forced the pods, they’ve just come to me. I’ll be going fairly cookie cutter and try to find the pods in my upgrade targets.

I also don’t get how so many midfielders can be in so many sides, are the %’s accurate ?? Haha

Can he score at all in the real stuff?
87 SC in AAMI but that was without Salem. Does he usually play a lockdown role?
I think he will have some games where he scores well but others not so much. I’m predicting around a 70 average.

He doesn’t play lockdown. Small distributor type with elite foot skills. I feel his very small frame won’t allow him to become SC relevant just yet but one to watch in the future.

Crikey I should have known that! Ah well he is still on the outer this year, not picked in the pre-season game.
Last year he appeared to whine about not getting a game early. He was clearly not up to AFL standard from a fitness and nutrition level, hence, Bevo didn't play him. He is a talent and has been working with the Bont in the pre-season to improve the above. He has improved considerably. He's still borderline by the looks of it, even with their injuries.

14pts below his best season coming in; 24 years old; only other ruck is a dinosaur.

Any good SCer should ask the question!
I've asked that question.

Looking at his scores breakdown during his career best season to date...
  • 1 x 200+
  • 8 x 100+ (of which 6 were 120+)
  • 2 x 90-99
  • 6 x less than 73
Without the 204 he averages 96 which I feel is more within his range.

I've no doubt that he still has natural improvements left in him but it's the number of low scores which is of greatest concern for me. If he could learn how to turn those 50's and 60's into 70's and 80's then you're looking at a circa 5 points improvements right there. Do I trust him enough to do it this year...?

He's right in calculation for my team as a viable R2 play with a view of being a forward keeper as I feel that his range will be 85-105 with a slight upside if the planets align for him.
