11 played so far for 1230

Hopefully another 11 playing so easier to see what scores drop off at the end of the round.

Ford , Ziebell
Briggs , Coniglio , Green , Haynes

Cripps , Walsh
Merrett

.
Daicos , Mitchell

Lloyd & Gulden both less than 90 at this stage
17 played for 1896 Marshall

Certainly wasn't expecting Ford onfield to outscore Green , Lloyd , Gulden & Haynes

HAWTHORN skipper James Sicily and Richmond's Rhyan Mansell have both been sent straight to the Tribunal and are looking at bans of at least three weeks each for incidents on Saturday.

Sicily slung Brisbane's Hugh McCluggage in a tackle that left the Lions midfielder concussed during the last quarter of the Hawks' shock 25-point win over the Lions on Saturday.

The Hawks skipper was only just returning from a suspension for a bump on young St Kilda forward Anthony Caminiti.

Mansell collected James Aish in a heavy collision in the final quarter of the Tigers' 15-point win over the Dockers on Saturday night.

Is Mansell in trouble for this bump on Aish?
James Aish comes from the field after a heavy collision with Rhyan Mansell
Published 20 hrs ago
Aish took possession of the ball on the wing before he and Mansell collided a split second later. Aish was awarded a free kick but appeared dazed and left the ground in the hands of medical staff.

The Dockers confirmed that the in-form wingman suffered a concussion in the collision and will miss their round 14 clash with Greater Western Sydney.

Both incidents were graded careless, severe impact and high contact and have been sent direct to the Tribunal, with the pair facing a minimum of three weeks each on the sidelines.

More to come ...

Never watching AFL again with that Sicily outcome.

I just looked up the most goals in a VFL/AFL game record. It is Fred Fanning (Melbourne), 18 goals against St Kilda Round 18 1947 at the Junction Oval.

I think that Matthew Nicks should make ‘kick it to Tex’ the game plan in the second half and give him a shot vs Fanning.

In what ended up being his final VFL game , aged 25 at the time.

Kicked 97 for the season

MONDAY TEAMS
(Announced Thursday 6:20pm AEST; Finalised Saturday 5:00pm AEST)

Maybe??

Subs & Late Changes
Can't believe they haven't had to announce their teams before now!
Are we thinking 6.25pm tonight?
So glad this is the last Monday game for the season, bar the possibility of round 24 (highly unlikely!)
But with 2 CEO's and no Football Op's manger who knows what they do coming into the last round :)

Looks like Eddie forde drops out of my scores….
ridiculous projections looking at over 2262 with two games to go….
plemty of high scores this week I would imagine
That looks like a good score judging from my most competitive league. I'm a good 100-200 pts off the pace it looks like, even with 22 going around and a bunch of rookies scoring well. Currently projected to score 2059 :(

This is going to be a very high scoring round...

Currently 17/1946 (Laird)

Gulden is still my lowest score

Merrett, Walsh and Daicos still to come, as well as Cincotta and JVR who will need at least 80 to be relevant.
18/2027 Dunkley for me, S Mitch my lowest score. 4 to come (Ridley/Walsh/N Daicos/Petracca

4th bottom score Young's 87.

Craig McRae has announced Collingwood’s team for Monday’s Kings Birthday clash against Melbourne at the MCG.

Dashing midfielder Patrick Lipinski has been named for the first time in 2023, following a lengthy stint on the sidelines due to an injured shoulder.

Lipinski, who finished sixth overall in the 2022 E.W. Copeland Trophy, will play his first match since the 2022 Preliminary Final.

He replaces Jordan De Goey, who was handed a three-match suspension for Rough Conduct following Collingwood’s Round 12 victory against West Coast.

Dislike that Sicily is being suspended for what was an excellent tackle 18 months ago but you can’t argue that it’s not deserving of suspension inside the current guidelines.

Was always gonna be 3 after them giving Butler 1.

14/1713 or 13/1651 (if/when Gulden’s 62 drops)
Played: R Marshall, J Lloyd, E Gulden, M Bontempelli, T English (VC), J Macrae, Z Butters, J Sicily, J Dunkley, L Neale (new recruit), R Laird (C), J Dawson, A Brayshaw and M Johnson

Yet to play:
Sunday: J Ziebell, H Sheezel, G Wardlaw, E Ford, S Coniglio, A Cincotta and Z Merrett
Monday: N Daicos

Excellent day by all involved but a special mention to M Johnson for his 96. Neale ok on debut and will be interesting to see how the alternative of Yeo and Keays/Himmelberg fares for the remainder of the season given this was the other option for trades this round if I wished to wait longer to complete the final two mid spots. Another impressive showing by Yeo and ideally the plan is to trade Ford and Cincotta to rookie and Yeo in RD15/to help with numbers and as a cheap D6, moving Dawson to the mids. Hopefully Sheezel and Ziebell can follow the others (bar Swans) for a 95+.
18/2137
Played: R Marshall, J Lloyd, E Gulden (dropped out), M Bontempelli, T English (VC), J Macrae, Z Butters, J Sicily, J Dunkley, L Neale (new recruit), R Laird (C), J Dawson, A Brayshaw, M Johnson, J Ziebell, H Sheezel, G Wardlaw, E Ford and S Coniglio
Yet to play: A Cincotta, Z Merrett and N Daicos

Excellent results in the first game such as Ford scoring 84 and Ziebell with a 107. Gulden’s score has now dropped with Lloyd’s 74 and Ford’s 84 set to drop if Z Merrett and N Daicos can hit both of those targets.
