Out: R Ginbey, O Baker and J Menzie
In: M Roberts (via H Sheezel and C Rozee), M Johnson (via C Constable, J Ziebell and Gulden) and T Miller (via A Davey)

Opens up Def/mid link between Constable and Wilmot. Then switch Constable to the backline and Wilmot to the midfield to help cover Green. Rozee and Gulden move to the forward line in the process. A mid premium such as Miller comes in to strengthen the midfield and help cover Green.
Wow this is pretty good. So all the ins are in the mids. It also allows Mitchell in next week to swing with Sheezel and Ziebell in the backline. Really nice advice. I'm going to have a very close look at this. Thanks man. I'm pretty braindead from work.

Thinking about doing the following:
Macrae to Dawson
Ginbey to Chayce Jones
Does anyone have a view on the Macrae trade?
Is C Jones a permanent fixture at HB vacated by Dawson?

Don't understand the Dawson trade. Clearly Macrae not scoring like last year but he is a keeper. Chayce Jones? Highly speculative and not sure what you do if it goes wrong. Only my 2 cents worth.

Sounds very sideways to me. I would be looking at other avenues to strengthen my team. Forking out a lot of cash and a trade to exchange two players who could possibly still score similarly from here.

Yeah I'm going for Serong over any ube-premos. He's playing some great footy and is a really nice price. It was out of him and Laird or Touk and my M1 is Bont so I'm not too confident.

However:

Serong has a case for being a top 8 mid by the end of the year so I'm committing no sin to bring him in. Further, those extra 50-60k allow me next week maybe to go 1 down 2 up to Day and Cogs, leaving just McKenna and Phillips on field along with the 6 MPs of Setters, JHF, Hopper, ZB, Sheezel and Pickett.

So maybe take a look at what you can do with your spare change over the next couple of weeks if yu go with Serong instead of an uber-premo. He mightn't get you the 180s that a Touk or a Neale might but he has hit 100 4/5 times, including 2 * 145s. He's no mug. And if it allows you to bench a rookie for a better premo, that could easily make up the points you might be missing by not taking the uber-premo yet.
Yeah, some really good points here. It's really tricky. It would likely be between Touk and Serong. Already have Laird. Touk has a better Bye... Have to decide in less than an hour obviously.

Which 2 rookies would you go,
Roberts and go extremely early on cincotta.
Or
Wagner and s mitchell?
Can not afford to go roberts and one of the other 2, jus have enough to bring j cameron in.
Thanks guys

Just too late in the year to sideways trade premiums for mine, last of that needed to be done last week at absolute worst, can't afford to fall behind in upgrades.

Weird week. Feels like everyone is upgrading to Touk or Neale which makes holding Green doubly painful.
Which is precisely why I'm choosing to go against the grain this week. Bringing Touk in without boosting or trading out Ginbey/Ashcroft/Baker/etc could put me at an advantage against 32.5% of the comp choosing to hang onto Green and use him to loop a rookie score in.

Huge risk and highly reactive, I know. Effectively sidewaysing and being down a premo next week when everyone gets Green back - but I'll look to 2-up either round 7 or 8 with the boost I've saved.

Just looking at some of Tom Green's ownership change numbers before the start of round 6:
All Coaches: -5.3% (9,551) have dropped him | 32.5% ownership
Top 10%: -7.4% (1,334) have dropped him | 62.2% ownership

At rank 59,322 - I'm looking upwards.

Green > Touk
Mackenzie > Roberts

The only way I see a Green trade being worth it is if you predict him to be sub105 from here, PLUS you can do an upgrade 1-up/1-down this week and then have no other use for the spare trade. Otherwise you are doing a sideways instead of an upgrade, which means as of next week, when Green returns, you are a premo down on the teams that held
Exactly.

Out: Ginbey, Mackenzie, Caminiti
In: Butters, Roberts, Johnson
55k ITB

Not my first choice of trades but nothing else really jumping out at me.

Going Butters over Rozee and Cogs as a bit of a pod (we know how this plays out).
CBA uplift looks good, Port now look more settled in CBA's rotating through 5 mids. Head first injury always the risk, did well when I couldn't trade him last year in last month of games.

I reckon I had him last year as well. Cogs probably makes more sense tbh but figure I might as well go the pod route and have some fun with it.

I was out last night when the teams dropped and missed Williams being out and didn’t switch him for Johnson. Is there a better option than Seamus Mitchell to replace Williams?

Would only be Roberts from Sydney…

Seamus named in starting 22 so from what I saw last weekend I think he holds his spot in the team…..Scrimshaw the only danger to his role
