Have gone Long to M Johnson. Contemplating Tom Green or Mason Wood up to Touk. If Johnson can put a decent score tonight (75+ then i will probs keep Green and upgrade Wood. Either way, welcome Mr Miller into my team. :p Also thinking about Sicily to Ziebell. Handy for the link with Sheezel, and would likely keep both, hopefully as bench coverage after the byes. :rolleyes: Then I could upgrade a Mckenna type to Day next week.

Then that only leaves me to get in Naicos, Laird, Bont, Dunkley, Gawn and a few lesser lights and I'm done. :LOL::LOL::LOL:
I know I'm a bit of a Charlie Cookiecutter on here, arguing against left-field moves, but ... Sicily out? Next week every man and his dog is going to be trading him in.

Green potentially only 10 points per week behind Miller ( that’s 170 points over the 17 rounds remaining for each after byes)…
Add in the missing points from this week between Miller and Green ( say even 110)…
That means potentially 280 points Miller in front of Green from here…

goes to show not much week to week in averages but over the season in supercoach that 280 points could make the difference between top 1% finish and the rest…..
I am not arguing Green vs Miller over the season though? Everyone should get Miller into their team over the next few weeks (I personally just wouldn't sacrifice Green to do it).

I am disagreeing with the notion that Green isn't a keeper. He is still good enough for M8 (and could even improve to as high as M6 behind Oliver, Miller, Laird, Bont & Neale in my eyes) as there just aren't enough premium mids blowing him out of the water right now.

Really not liking Ginbey out of my side but main other option is Chandler, but want to do:
Mckenna -> Mitchell/Wagner
Chandler -> W.Day
Next week.

Would anyone change the current trades this week of:
Baker -> Johnson
Ginbey -> T.Miller

I've already used 2 boosts and not really keen to use another but am considering Constable -> Roberts for cash gen.

Is there a way to keep Ginbey if looking to move McKenna + Chandler on next week anyway who have lower BE's than Ginbey this week?

If I did one this week instead of Ginbey and then Ginbey scores well or Mitchell not named it would mean I'm revising the next week trades anyway.

This is the team after current trades with above in mind for next week is it wiser to leave my current trades or keep Ginbey somehow this week?

Got the money to do this weeks trades with Cowan? Seems like a fairly reasonable if a bit earthly trade out if you can manage it. Don’t think Cowans got a spike in him and probably pretty close to topping out.

Been toying with a few different iterations and it’s effectively:

Mackenzie > Roberts
Baker > M.Johnson

Boost: Ginbey/Wilmot > Lloyd

I’m happy with the first two trades, but I’m really torn between the last two trade out options. Ginbey on one hand has a high BE but higher potential for scores, but Wilmot has a lower BE and I have a feeling he might get a spike score despite his low TOG.

I hate asking, but does anyone have a compelling argument for either to remain in my team?

Flat out all week, and will be until right up to the games tonight. Just posting my team for any feedback on how I should proceed this week. I've got a few ideas but the rookie situation is tricky. 120K in bank. 4 Boosts left. Any input welcome. Re. tonights game. I guess I only need to work out who needs to go - Baker maybe - and any relevant rookies to bring in. Or whether Serong is worth it. Cheers.
Yeah I'm going for Serong over any ube-premos. He's playing some great footy and is a really nice price. It was out of him and Laird or Touk and my M1 is Bont so I'm not too confident.

However:

Serong has a case for being a top 8 mid by the end of the year so I'm committing no sin to bring him in. Further, those extra 50-60k allow me next week maybe to go 1 down 2 up to Day and Cogs, leaving just McKenna and Phillips on field along with the 6 MPs of Setters, JHF, Hopper, ZB, Sheezel and Pickett.

So maybe take a look at what you can do with your spare change over the next couple of weeks if yu go with Serong instead of an uber-premo. He mightn't get you the 180s that a Touk or a Neale might but he has hit 100 4/5 times, including 2 * 145s. He's no mug. And if it allows you to bench a rookie for a better premo, that could easily make up the points you might be missing by not taking the uber-premo yet.

Oskar Baker has a BE of 46 and it just feels like he could go big tonight against Freo, reckon he should be given another chance to score a kickstarting 70+, if not he won't lose too much. Seem to always get stung trading out a rookie too soon only to have them go bang-bang.

How does everyone view Lloyd vs the other defenders ?

Looking at him this week just unsure if he may regress a bit toward mid to high 90s from here, similar to how he scored last season.

Day, Sicily and Sinclair are the ones that I may ‘miss out on’ if I were to go Lloyd.
I like him and am looking at bringing him in this week. Probably will be the wrong move but he has scored well in previous seasons and Swans backs are scoring well, plus there are injuries to allow him to continue seagulling.

Settled on Ginbey/Baker/Chandler to Johnson/Roberts/Touk. Chandler out might be a bit premature but Sheezel at F6 now and a rookie to uber premo upgrade is worth it imo. $70k in the back for next week to target Sinclair or maybe go more value and get Day in for someone like Wilmot/McKenna.

Yeah I know you’re not arguing over those two…all good.
Green could very well be a keeper M8 type ( at least that’s what I was hoping for when selecting him round 1) and we were all pretty stoked when he scored 134 against the crows first up.

You are spot on about how close that next tier of mids are….only takes a small lift to be in that bracket ( hence my point about the 10 point gap per game between Miller who I think will be top 5)

Think I'm gonna hold MacKenzie and Ginbey and trade OBaker instead. Original plan was to get a look at both Baker v Liam Jones scores as cover for Tom Green but I'll play that game with Ginbey and MacKenzie instead. Can still take Liam Jones with Constable if he goes big tonight

I get the feeling that holding Ashcroft-Ginbey-Mackenzie-Chandler might be pivotal up to the byes, there's so many rookies with suss JS and Sub risk that I think it makes sense to run with these blokes and utilise the bench rooks as best as possible for upgrades.

I'm just trying to get a read on Johnson really before moving McKenzie on. Roberts I feel there's too many best 22 Swans out, regardless of talls v smalls I think his JS is a little iffy still.

McKenzie will need to put in another good game I think, Will day comes straight back in so he could be pushed to the sub or get a rest.

Have an hour to make a call I guess, hard not to overthink it.

Thinking about doing the following:
Macrae to Dawson
Ginbey to Chayce Jones
Does anyone have a view on the Macrae trade?
Is C Jones a permanent fixture at HB vacated by Dawson?

Macrae is a tough one. I'd be inclined to hold him as he can still hold down an M8 spot and was very close to getting forward DPP status I think. His number whilst not Macrae'esque from previous seasons are still not horrid.
