Hi all, I am a new member of Supercoach Scores.
I would welcome your comments about my current selected side as well as thoughts on
these selected players.

LLOYD - His scoring dropped a lot last year but has been a super premo over as long period of
time.

GUTHRIE - He seems to me to be great value when you consider that Geelong has lost
Selwood & Danger will most likely spend more time forward.

CUNNINGTON - Been a super premo for many years.

This current side gives me potentially a 4 x 5 x 2 x 3 Premo keeper side as well as a range of
Capt/VC options each week. Also from the research that I have done I feel that most of my current rookies are a good chance of being selected in R1
There is also a good mix of MPP which would allow for movement as cover for any injuries etc.

Hey, welcome and pretty good effort I think, are you confident Himmelberg will be playing mostly back this season? For me I have Liam Jones in that spot, hoping he has a good start, could be a real nice pickup if he scores half decently.
My present side is changing ten times a day so for me, it's a bit early for giving advice about anyone's team, gotta actually see who makes it to round 1 first haha

I like most of that squad mate but feel there is a good reason why Lloyds scoring has fallen away. Put simply, he has lost the role that made him the perfect seagull and I don’t see that returning.

Welcome to the site.

We need to be careful throwing around labels such as "Super Premo". If you look at Cunnington's previous performance, he hasn't actually had any season at 110+, which is what I would call a Premo season for a mid. A great servent of our club, but SC wise I'd be steering clear.

Not a bad team.
I question the Lloyd & Himmelberg picks.
Sydney move the ball faster now they are competing for a flag, less chipping around the backline = less Seagulling by Lloyd.
GWS have said this preseason that Himmelberg will continue to play forward this year. I owned him last season and he would score great over the first 3 quarters, be on like 90-100 then get thrown forward for the whole last and barely increase, very frustrating to own.

Otherwise, I like the rest and the Guthrie pick too!

Guthrie at M4 would be my only change. Just need a stronger scorer at the M4 position. I cannot see Guthrie Avg 105 fo the season. Holmes is lurkiing for Selwoods role and then you throw Bowes into the mix.

OK, point taken re your comments about Lloyd, Himmelberg & Guthrie.
By switching out those players plus Hopper I am able to stregthen my defends, as well as bring in a player like Bont.
Do you think this side is a better option.

I think it's an improvement, 12 to possibly 14 keepers there if you're lucky with Daicos and Cunnington. I've had Hopper and Fyfe in and out of my team many times, still can't decide what to do there. It'll be easier as the time draws closer :)

We all have differing views, and I agree it's a bit early to really know. For me mostly structure is hard to lock in as we might have to spend a bit more on rookies. However I would get rid of cunners,he is just too expensive for someone who has gone through what he has, fitness must of taken a hit, bottom 4 club, new coach, up and coming inside players at North. If he was say 300k it's still a maybe. I'd swap bailey dale and cunners for someone else myself, but that's just me I don't like the dale pick.
Solid looking team mate, at this stage take a screen shot and wait and see how pre season plays out.

Bones of the side look good although your rookie bench looks extremely thin. Not sure how much you have in the bank to improve them, but a way to free up 80k might be to flip Cunnington for Richards & use Hopper in the mids. I see Hopper scoring on par with Cunnington.

If hopper is a half decent pick if he goes at 95, is max holmes a good pick if he does the same for 30k more? Is it a bad move to have both?
Im thinking to have thomas in the fwd line. Lycett in the rucks. Holmes and hopper in the mids and yeo in the deffence. Thoughts on having 5 mid pricers?

I think 5 midpricers is way too many personally . Much better off with a premo and a rookie. I have given the rookies a lot of research and now am confident they will appear not so much the 2022 crop but there does appear to be plenty there. In saying that I am sure by taking only 2 midpricers I will miss out on one ,happens every year Salem i am watching you NDD

Would you consider lycett as a mid priced player since there isn’t really a obvious ruck duo to choose from. Grundy probably the only real option for r1, r2 is a toss of a coin.

IMO Hopper is a no brainer, is at least 30 points underpriced and fills a need in Richmond's midfield.

Lycett is typical midprice but agree about the lack of R2 I have gone Jackson with Cameron forward and wait on english or marshall but it's a hard juggle as my prime achievement is to limit on field rookies
