Yep, very annoying - you do your own research/planning & then others just get spoon fed all the info on social media
I think it's inevitable and not worth being irritated over. We get a lot of our information from enthusiasts on Twitter and share it here as well. The amount of invaluable information that gets posted here is what makes this community.

Realistically there are still PODs available despite what some may believe. Guys like Wines or Wardlaw are well known for high upside and high risk, but majority aren't risking those picks which effectively makes them PODs, all depends on your risk appetite.

And it's like @jel said, "There is still a place for a savvy operator to sort the wheat from the chaff and make a better decision than the average punter". Couldn't be more true in my opinion.

Yes and no. I think it's moved from doing your research to find the hidden gems to doing your research to be able to filter the info that you see as valuable. With so many Supercoach sites and podcasts, it seems every man and his dog has an opinion on a player and often they are completely opposite.

I don't think people are irate over it, most have accepted this is the norm and it's not just fantasy games, it's information overload really in everything. I also don't think there's too much variance in opinion when it comes to SC, the information I read and listen to is pretty consistent. The days of having to watch every game of AFL to do well in SC are over, I honestly think you'd probably rank higher not watching any games and just following specific sources.

The fact that SC has moved to 40 trades now supports this view also IMO

100% agree... it's information overload but the most common ones like what's produced by the Hun is generally just lazy reporting (information with the least amount of effort) with rookies recommended just because they were high picks.

Even on this site (and this isn't a criticism of anyone) there are a few who seem to have more informed and relevant data whose opinions I place more emphasis on than others.

So not only do we have to sort the wheat from the chaff of Journos/Reporters, we have to do the same for SCS members. This is too hard.

I tend to not create teams until after the pre season games but I keep lists of potential keepers and potential cash cows on each line and tinker with predicted averages as I do some research or hear some news. Normally I'd have about 60 players on these lists. I currently have a 100!!!

Bugger, tweets are protected, only followers can read. Let's bypass this.

Doggy-Bag Takeaways 1 of 2 An extended session of 'scenario based' match sim before the proper match sim. 25 min quarters with normal IC changes. A lot of Footscray players used. Clarke survived a knee injury type scare. He's okay An almost Best of vs Rest of type team set-up.

Doggy-Bag Takeaways 2 of 2 Players took the match sim very seriously with some tough tackling and tempers flaring but in the right way. Bont dominate. JJ Impressive. L.Jones impassable. JOD improving. Sanders went on some runs and used the ball brilliantly. Treloar was a force
