The repetitive coverage by Ch 7 in Perth on Harley Reid is getting ridiculous. Getting towards Nic Nat at his peak when he was in sport news so much people were getting totally off. Yes he is the No 1 pick but give the kid some space. This is the fourth night in a row.

I can’t believe I’m even saying this but Whitfield anyone!?

Averaged 110 over his last 7 games in the home and away season and really passed the eye test for me whenever I watched the giants.

Scored 109, 141 & 75 in the finals this year as well!
Daicos, Sinclair, Young & Whitfield are looking like my starting four down back this year.

Too many bad memories for me to go back down that path again. I currently have Ridley penciled in at D4

Yeah, I like Ridley as well and know that Whitfield won’t make it to the Final Cut. Daicos is locked in and I really like Young as an option this year as well. Stewart and Sinclair will likely be the other two options I go with for my first team of many to start the 2024 campaign.
I’m convinced going deep down back and light up forward will be the way to go this year.

Ridley? You're memory can't be that good!
Last season i bough him into the line up when he was priced around 425K Round 12? (from memory) Ridley did the job until injury, would have been close to 100 average during those 7 weeks in my team.

Had him in the past and will make a great D6 by seasons end. 2024

I’ll go for Lipinski:

- averaged 87 last year, with a shoulder injury for the latter part of the season. Only 28% CBAs.

- had just 3% CBAs this season, versus Taylor Adams at 39%. Adams is now gone.

You betcha Williams is going to be in my starting squad (until I think logically about things and realise he’s more like to play less than 10 games than he is to play any more than that)
**Very Rough First Draft**
DEF: Daicos, Stewart, Sinclair, Young,
Williams, Coffield, (Rookie, T. Pink)

MID: Bont, Oliver, Walsh, Miller, Steele,
C. McKercher, J. Clark, Rookie (Rookie, Rookie, Rookie)

RUC: Gawn, Grundy (Rookie)

FWD:
Macrae, Bolton, H. Reid, Z. Duursma, Fantasia, F. Macrae (Mannagh, Rookie)

DEF: Looks Solid, Same as Mine except ii have Ridley over Stewart.

MIDS: Miller, Steele, Neale, locks for me Walsh or Cerra will make 4.

RUCK: Difficult to pass on those 2 but English is in Consideration depending on Cash.

FWD: Macrae locked.

Early days but could be some value in the FWD line. It looks as if i will go light in the FWD and take a extra MID.

In pass years MacCrae was one of my 1st players picked but now I'm unsure how Beveridge is going to play him? As I've said in the past, he has been "Bevo'd" away from being the top mid he had been for the previous 5 years by being used on wing/half forward. I am worried of not starting him but I am hoping I can get him cheaper later in the season because I do believe he will still be. atop 6 forward no matter how poorly he is used by Beveridge.

I have Miller and Steele as well with a watch on Walsh as I think they are all underpriced for what they can put out. I'm waiting to see how the zero round is going to impact how the season will play out especially with Miller/Walsh/Neale possibly missing early games with their early bye.

Good luck.

High on my radar if he keeps his midfield role
Thanks👍

A question is do you take a young player in Young at that price or a proven gun at a similar price in Steele. I've gone with Steele ATM, especially with the Saints having a good bye round to either keep Steele if he's back to his best or offload him to a gun mid I don't start.
