What are people's thoughts on Jack Steele, is his days in the sun over?

Is any else looking at Connor Budarick?

Thank you for taking time to answer my query.
Don't think I'll be starting Steele this year, seems to be playing injured a lot of the time, also I don't trust that Ross Lyon is playing him in his best role all the time, I think a few too many times last season he was cast in a negating role rather than at his freewheeling best mid role.
Budarick misses a lot of games, reckon Williams in the back line is enough risk for one line.

Tend to agree with not starting Steele. Last year he was told to lose weight prior to season starting as Ross Lyon wanted more run in the team. Then he copped injuries during the season but I always thought their working relationship might not be 100%. Just a vibe. Apparently his weight has gone back up again so maybe they have abandoned the "run" for Steele this year but I would want to see him back to the Steele of old before jumping on board. And of course by then the price value has gone.

I think Budarick has a heap of ability but just keeps getting injured. No surprise if he has a big year and especially if Dimma uses him rebounding out of defence but right now other options look better on face value.

Solid team ZimZum. The number of opening round players though means you probably lose 40points per player because of the extra bye they have. Having said that, most of them represent value.

Will be a bonus if clarke, coalfield and sharp are playing, expect we will need to stress test our team with more expensive rookie choices.

Joel Hamling - Would he come into contention as a cheapie defender if it was not for Round Zero?

Don't think OR restrictions applies to value players at his price point. If he doesn't play he is just replaced by another rookie who scores similar.

Job security must be better than Freo and you do get a free look in OR.

Scoring potential would be larger issue vs price. Priced at 47 (off a 59 season) and his last season of more than 2 games were 2018/19 where he ave 65. I prefer a double discount, one for lack of games and that discount applies to a lower than normal score that was affected by an injury game.

Anyone like cam Mackenzie? He started well last year and fell away. He seems like someone whose game suits playing a lot of mid minutes?

I like phillipou as a player but he might take a bit of time transitioning to a mid?

Cam Mackenzie - hasn't been on the radar, priced at 48.6 and excluding 4 sub games he ave 57.5, so around 20% upside.

Last 6 of 8 games he played were VFL, so may have best 22 questions. Stamina could be an issue.

This got me thinking...who are the players in Supercoach who we might want to steer clear from in 2024 due to being 'injury prone'? Would anyone be willing to throw up some names, please?
Elliot Yeo & Nathan Fyfe spring to mind immediately 😉😂
I hate ruling players out based on this. So much so I bought Yeo last year. So I'll add to list, despite a couple of good seasons (durability wise), I've often found Josh Kelly & Issac Heeney in my team and needing a sub at inopportune times.

Lachie Whitfield another who seems destined to miss a handful of games throughout the year.
