Hey Neil ole mate, I had Owens for a good part of last year and to be honest I felt a bit let down by him in the end.
That says nothing about how he'll go this year, he's obviously a very talented young player...but I probably won't start with him, instead he'll be a wait and watch, and hope he goes nuts at some point and I jump on at the right time

Aside from macrae the cupboard is bare Russty Ryan might be just ok as will jackson ,Owens starts in mine with little confidence Gawn and Marshall set and forget

Stewart still mainly playing his usual role & taking kick ins. Think he just gets spurts in the middle.

Good news on Mannagh, hopefully he plays well in the preseason games.

I note a lot of coaches in the leagues thread commenting that 2023 was a down year for them - for many their worst ever.

There must be something to this - and something to learn.

What did you learn from 2023?

What will you do differently in 2024?

I think there were some successful picks, where the SCS community was less highly exposed to, e.g. Naicos. And some poor ones where we had greater exposure, eg. Flanders. Hence many suffering overall.

Good point - there is definitely some clustering. Hopefully we can get on more of the right ones this year!

I'll have a look at the replay, but was that Baker as defense/midfield? Or definitely midfield?
