Njoku to play.

Had the C on Allen, then thought the snow would impact his score. πŸ™„
It did impact his score … made him play even better πŸ˜œπŸ˜‚

I took the risk on him after Hurts scored 34 (could use Kincaid as a loop) which paid off. Think he might be the MVP this year, unreal season from him so far.

Seems like the same curse has struck CMC as struck previous #1 RBs after their best seasons.
Most notably David Johnson in 2017 and CMC in 2020 -2021.
With a suspected PCL he's likely out for the rest of the season.
SF are bottom of their division and while they are only 2 games behind Seattle their chances of making the post-season are slim.
So it's hard to see them rushing CMC back.

After reading articles suggesting that snow would lower players' scores and increase their chance of injury, I also chose not to captain Allen and locked in Hurt's 34 score.
I need to stop playing it safe and be more aggressive, it's just that being aggressive is not in my nature.

Perhaps I should be less concerned in the future if a player is playing in snowy conditions.

As a rough guide to playing in the snow:
sit WRs and start RBs.
Did you notice that the running game dominated the offence for both teams: SF - 27 carries, 18 passes; Buffalo - 38 carries, 18 passes.
With QBs it depends on their playing strengths: start a dual-threat like Allen who runs the ball, sit a pocket passer who doesn't.
Although Allen's score was inflated by 13 points due to his double TD score on that one play it is the sort of thing he does

Before this week M Evans needed 99.5 yds per game to have another 1, 000 yd season.and keep his 1,000 yd receiving streak alive.
He has had 1,000 receiving yds in every one of his 10 seasons in the NFL.
Baker-Mayfield is aware of this and today targeted Evans 12 times for 8 catches and 118 yds.
Evans now needs 479 yds over his last 5 games to reach 1,000.
Anyone betting he won't make it?
Further to this :-

The Bucs offense is going to win fantasy championships.
Tampa Bay is fighting for a playoff birth with a 58% probability of getting in, per NFL.com. That makes the Bucs a highly motivated team with a favorable schedule, facing the Raiders, Chargers, Cowboys, and Panthers over the final four games of the fantasy season.

Strongly considering going Lamb > Evans, Rush just doesn't have the same connection that Dak has with Lamb/ cowboys season is cooked.

A question I am hoping I can get some advice on please.
I am new to NFL this year. I understand how to pick offensive players: QB, RB, WR, Kickers.
But I do not understand how to pick the DST teams.
Also where to get the stats for the DST teams.
Can anyone give me some advice please. It would be very appreciated.

My basic rule:
Start the season with two cheap-ish DSTs that you think can improve.
Mainly because the scoring difference is usually minimal compared to the other positions but also because there can be vast improvement from one season to the next.
I use two criteria:
a team with a new defensive co-ordinator
a team with new players and/or with injuries to key players the previous season.
But it's mostly a guesstimate.
Minnesota and Denver are the top-2 so far this year but they were ranked #20 and #23 by FantasyPros pre-season after finishing #16 and #18 last year.

A lot of different fantasy web-sites provide this sort of information in their pre-season DST rankings. Some also provide a SOS.
My main go-to site is FantasyPros. They provide pre-season rankings and SOS and in-season a weekly ranking and a rest of season SOS.

So much depends on injuries to key players - both on the particular club's defence and on opponents' offence.
e.g. Miami with a fit Tua is a very different propositon to a Miami without Tua

What a difference a QB can make.
Jerry Jeudi with Watson at QB: 7 games - 42 targets - 21 receptions - 266 yds - 1 TD.
Jerry Jeudi with Winston: 5 games - 39 targets - 23 receptions - 614 yds - 2 TDs.
He was helped by 235 yds last week but still had 379 yds in the first 4 games with Winston.

I can't believe how bad Watson is.

Jerry Jeudy has been doing pretty well out of it, too.

Mike Evans in doubt, has a calf injury also now ... :-

Evans did not practice on Wednesday due to hamstring and calf injuries.

Evans’ hamstring injury is old news. It cost him three games earlier this year before Evans returned in Week 12. But the calf injury is new. At this point in the season, teams are more than willing to give their older stars rest days, and Evans certainly fits that bill.

Evans finished as fantasy’s WR3 in Week 13 after posting eight catches on 12 targets for 1118 yards and a touchdown in Tampa Bay’s win over Carolina.
