Just watched the Lions-Packers game which was a fantastic tussle. Concerned about St. Brown however. This will be the third week in a row he has scored less than 20. There were a lot of snaps where he was not even running a target route. He just blocked or was used as a decoy. With a dominant pair of RB and Williams and now Patrick taking some of the passing action I think I might consider trading him before he loses too much value. If the numbers worked out might get enough cash out of the trade to get Mixon.
Yeah, it's a worry.
It seems to me that Detroit have been so dominant that they are at the stage of expanding their repertoire - at least in terms of pass catchers.
They don't want opponents to just lock in on Brown and no-one else. They know what he can do, now it's "lets see what the others can do". Give opponents more to worry about.
Their next three are tough: Buffalo, SF and Chicago. It'll be interesting to see the targets in those.
I think Brown is their best WR and maybe, just maybe, they are saving him for when he's really needed.
As I have him in both my draft teams and RDT I certainly hope so.
He's way down on targets and yards compared to the last two years:
2024: 98 targets - 863 yds
2023: 164 targets - 1,515 yds
2022: 146 targets - 1,161 yds
