People sideways trading must be ending with 3 or 4 trades max hardly seen anyone doing it with more than 12 currently and they all still have at least two rookies on the field, that's very light when there's still 10 rounds post byes, as frustrating as poor premiums are fielding rookies late in the year is worse.
Yep completely agree. Sideways trading these guys is a luxury that I'll save for the final 4-5 rounds if I've made it through unscathed until then. Especially with the complete lack of rookies that can fill in as bench cover at a pinch. There is a very real chance that an injury/suspension will mean a zero for these teams as they don't have the trades to manage them in the run home. Even with a bench premium at M9 or a D7.F7 swing. Can see a scenario where you're putting on 200+ points on a lot of teams that run out of steam in the last month.
Completely agree on needing to conserve trades but I’ve got 12 left at the start of this round, with one upgrade left and a boost in the back pocket so think I’ve got 1 aggressive move left in me. By trading Martin to Zorko lets me field 18 too so making the decision a bit easier.

Next week should be able to afford Freijah + Sullivan to 102k Def/Mid rookie and Yeo to finish my team and have Harley Reid as floating F7/M9, Jackson as ruck cover and the D/F swing with Fisher. Would leave 6 trades so a bit tight but great DPP coverage. 05BB0572-65E7-49EA-B3CB-7B03B3D199D6.jpeg 06DE5164-9FB6-43C6-85E3-AC638E0BD191.jpeg Butters the glaring miss but can’t have em all.

Could do the following for 19 players this round
Out: Moyle, Wilson and Garcia
In: G Payne (via Livingstone), S Flanders and J Blight (via Z Fisher)

Could allow Garcia and Sullivan to rookie and Merrett next round to push say Oliver to the bench as mid coverage for the remainder of the season but a def/mid premium may be more suitable.

Moore/Whitfield/Sinclair and Krueger could be an option over Flanders and rookie. Garcia and Sullivan next round for rookie and Flanders and hold onto those last few trades for a while.

Anyone contemplating trading Daicos if he misses? Means he will miss 2 weeks, and has a 64 in his cycle. Trades will be tight, but could be a good move for some teams. Not sure yet if I would or not, just seeing what the consensus is.
Yep, being falling too far over the last two weeks

Traded in Salem 2 weeks ago for $345k off the back of 99 & 121. Has scored 91 & 111 in those 2 weeks and is now $437k with 55 BE. Appears to have a nice role off half back and uses the ball well.

Does this make him a better prospect at D6 for the rest of the season over Tom Stewart who currently occupies that spot in my team?

Settled on some trades that (somewhat) please me.
Two down one up and a boost to sideways Petracca.

Petracca, Comben, Clohesy and Graham to Serong, Zorko, Dowling and McMullin.

Leaves me with the bare 18 playing this week as long as Naicos is named unless Harcia is named but needed Combens cash to make the two upgrades work.

Still have Dawson, Bowes, Zilliams, Stewart in def with Oliver in mids and would like to know what Zilliams needs to get DPP round 18 if anyone has that available or can point me to it.

For now, it looks that way but who knows if Stewart won't get back to that higher scoring form again, he might or he might not, you won't really know until the end of the season.
If you're not happy with how he's going and don't think it'll improve, I'd dump him.

Worth pondering if you believe the tagger analysis that was shared yesterday - could have 4 consecutive tags towards the back end of the season, and while it would be a ballsy move it could be a good one if he misses 2 now, and then has a patch where he scores well under his average.
Probably depends on who you trade him to though.. if it's a Ryan/Bont/Butters/Serong type then I think it has merit, but if it's to a premium a class or 2 below that top tier then I think it's a trade spent for probably a similar points return.

Most likely bring in Grundy this week, the extra $100K for Gawn looks a bridge too far.

Leaves me with Grundy & Xerri, which I started with 3 months ago.
Why do rucks always mock me.
I think we make it harder for ourselves than it needs to be, just checking my trade history, I started English and Grundy, traded Grundy to Meek, made 100k on Meek before trading him out to Sweet, then 4 rounds later finally ended up with Gawn when I could've really just kept Grundy the whole time!

Keen to sense check moves here, setup with strongest team to see where upgrades are needed (D6 & F6).

16 before trades this week.

Lots of potential downgrade options - especially Clohesey and Sweet at their price, as well as injured rookies McKercher and Richards unless you're keen on holding until they potentially return (Richards is 5+ weeks from memory). You seem to have more trades in hand than most, so perfect opportunity to bring in D6 / F6.

Could even sideways trade out an underperforming Clarry to someone like Gulden or Neale, for an extra premo on field for Rd 14 bye...

One option would be to swap Dawson with Cloehesy to DEF, downgrade to Dowling (+$190k) and either upgrade McKercher to a $559k D6 (Hayden Young?) or perhaps Martin to Luke Ryan?

Third trade to downgrade Sweet to Kreuger (+$185k) to save for Rd 15 upgrades?

I picked him up as well that same week when I desperately needed a playing defender with a negative BE to make a full team. He was the cheapest!

I was going to swap him to Luke Ryan this week after some price rises, but I don't think it's worth the $200k at this point given he looks to be scoring ok, so Salem stays as D6 and I'm full 'premo'.

I'll sort it out later if need be as a luxury trade.

Sweet > Dowling (Livingstone ruck bench)
McKercher > Houston

Completes defence, just 1 fwd upgrade needed

Pending teams, think that gives you 18 players for the round hopefully

So tough to get rid of Colby given he's likely back next week, also don't want to complete the team without Ryan... Tough spot.
