Yeah interesting.. I'm toying with moving Daicos to the mid line for now and riding him for a few weeks. Could be a bust but role looks good, seems to have improved tackle and possession numbers.. if he can put out a month of good scoring it opens up some possibilities for later upgrades. Just a matter of whether Bowes or May is a better value play, or whether I skip the value move altogether..
I think it's very much team dependent, he was brought in as upgrade for Howes rather than a downgrade as I had the cash. Clohesy is the key though, my D4-D7 is now Bowes-Massimo-Williams-Clohesy, I have Daicos in the mids which gives me the opportunity to use Massimo and Williams as mid upgrade vehicles if Clohesy looks like he's going to be a 85-90 player, if not then he can stay on the bench and I just use 1 of the aforementioned

*Edit..........Graham is also a consideration if he keeps up his scoring as he's going to be stuck on the mid bench

Trade 1. McKercher to Graham. Lay down misere - easy trade.

Desperate to keep Sharp with his negative B/E, so it's Sanders on the chopping block.

Trade 2. Sanders to anyone in any position under 527k. Gone through many options and think I'm going with The Lizard. (Super POD.)

Blakey with a average of 106 and a handy B/E of 57. (very tempted.)

Brought in Blakey for the second half of last season and it's a roller coaster. However, he is great to watch and always seemed to get his big scores when I needed them for my league matchups. Seriously considered starting him this year but chickened out due to the early bye.

The annoying thing is I think McKercher could have another $100k+ in him/start scoring well at some point & it only unlocks $50k trading him to Comben so his 'value' is effectively locked away for a few more weeks.
I better check and see how long McKercher is out for. I also don't really want to trade Dempsey but have few options.

I’ve had a good think about it and now I’m not so sure trading LDU is the play if you want to try and rank near the top.

If you want to make up ground on the rest of the comp it’s with guys like LDU. Trading him to a Green/Serong/Steele or any popular player isn’t making up any points, flushes 100k down the drain as well as another trade or possibly boost.

I’d rather get rookies off field rather than upgrade LDU to an Uber premium as the difference should be less without the rookie score.
Yes, with Best 18 i am also considering.

Clark to Graham
Cadman to McCauliffe via DDP

Going early on McCauliffe. With Taranto out for a few weeks i am banking on his Role and TOG to improve.

Would it be better to wait a week on McAuliffe purely because of the bye.

Cadman surely has at least a bit more money to make, plays a tougher opponent this week but could Campbell be moved on instead?

Hopper back potn create some risk. Although you would hope he holds his role.

Is Bigoan better to go early. If K Dawson back, either Bigoan or Core holds and one goes out. If they hold Bigoan then it would be a good sign.

Yes, Bigoan has a good SC role, if he can hold his spot on the team, but i do not like his kick for his role, to much hang time on the air, making it easy for a turnover. North are so bad, i think Clarkson will try a few players down back this year.

Sometimes i think all these gifted high draft picks North have recived over the past few years has affected identifying defned roles for draftees and time to properly develope in the gym and improve endurance. Just too many young players and too many pieces to fit together to see the big picture. At the start of the year i honesty thought with the list of players and clarkson 2nd year at the wheel, North would have looked better, more organised, they do not.

Another wooden spoon on the way.

Agree. Probably misses more games.
Just a harmless little knock can upset the back, and 4 weeks or longer on the injury list. But my goodness such good value for what he can produce.

So tempting, i have been convince to wait another week but if he gets trhough with no injury concerns will be difficut not to select.

I've got Jackson in my forward line and currently don't have Flanders.

Do we think it's worth a sideways trade to grab Flanders? Jacksons scoring is starting to piss me off and will probably get worse with Darcy back, and Flanders seems to be killing me in head to head matches every week.

Couple of observations...

The quality of finished teams this year is going to be insanely good. Everywhere I look, there's either cash cows ready for sale or rookies who've just re-energized their price rise. I'm being extremely aggressive in trading just to keep up with the abundance of downgrade options we're getting. Trac Bont English Dawson Stewart Green etc. all providing low cost entries in the coming weeks will add to this. Every week I'm just hanging out for the following week to open so I can keep improving my team and see how it looks.

The only drawback - the lack of quality premium forwards is startling (I say this planning to trade Jackson next week). Doesn't even look like any DPP candidates coming. Genuinely a case of Heeney & Flanders and then the rest.

It almost feels like you need to get Shai Bolton in next week at his price. With Taranto/Hopper out and a full run at the mids, he might be one of the only decent options? I guess maybe Toby at circa 450k is pretty good.
