I'm leaning the same way myself. Not closed minded to a triple down, albeit I already have Graham. Aim is to add ideally 2 premos by rd7
I'm thinking of a double/triple downgrade for a double upgrade next round
Feel its more important to look at cash cowes growth rather then pts, but that's someone ranked 50k talking lol

Preseason plan was to use Crouch as a stepping stone to Daicos Rd 6. I would have never thought he would have averaged 108 over the first 5 rounds which is making him a bit harder to move!

Interestingly his CBA’s this round dropped from 65 to 55 and a lot has been said in this forum about Adelaide needed speed at stoppage.

Think I’ll stick to the plan and go Crouch to Daicos for 30k. Will also use my boost to also downgrade Cadman and McKercher to Comben & Graham.

Gives me 280k to get Walsh next week.
Thoughts?

I think it depends on which rookies you have.

Apart from Carroll and McKercher, you could argue that all of Sanders/Cadman/Dempsey/Wilson/Sharp could use a week or two more to maximise their cash gen. I’m probably trading Cadman to get Comben this week but in an ideal world would wait a week or two longer.

I think you are right , I need to move someone onfield on to generate some cash.

King - > Comben
McKercher (BE 101) - > Graham

Get some Bank

Have another look at Drury , Garcia , McAuliffe (BYE) & Nyoun then try and bring in 1-2 premium mids or defenders
Gives me $ 344,100.00 in the Bank

Feel like I have more onfield rookies now than my starting team and have used 13 trades 🤔

Onfield upgrades required :-

Clohesy (2 games) , D'Ambrosio , Williams

Roberts , Graham (2 games) , H Reid , Sharp

Comben (2 games)

+ Meek @ R2

Bench is :-

Brown - downgrade to ?
Reid , Z - dead

Sanders - upgrade Round 7
Wilson - needs a spike game
Clark - needs a miracle

Livingstone - dead

Camden - downgrade possibly Round 7
Campbell - downgrade possibly Round 7

Just work it out round by Round I guess

His CBA's have dropped the last 2 rounds, my plan was to trade him at his bye but that's flexible, if your plan was to trade him to Daicos in round 6 then I would absolutely go ahead with that, particularly with him missing this week, TBH he might not come back

I don't think LDU to a proper top 5 mid like Serong or Steele is a sideways trade.
In essence, it's really no diff to many who thinks Grundy needs to be traded out to a Gawn or English.

If I could easily afford say LDU to Serong in 1 trade, I think it's a straight no brainer.
Yes lost too much cash etc etc but the number of trades we have this year + good rookies making money makes it easier than previous years.

I am quite confident that LDU will not be a top 10 mid this year.

Pretty much the same as those that started Newcombe, get off quick when you see the writing on the wall, of course I did that with Young and ballsed it up.

I hopped off Young and Dawson rd 3, and when you couple who I bought for them both (Ryan and NWM) I’m up 88 points and 185k (Dawson + Young combined -105k and NWM and Ryan up +80k). This isn’t even taking into account the cash I received from the difference between the players (roughly 85k difference for the guys I currently have).

Of course, had I held Young I would’ve been much better off points wise, but I still stand by it as I would never have been able to buy Heeney this week if I were even 15-20k worse off.

Any interest in Bowes? Outside of the sub impacted game he's had a decent role, good CBAs.. $350k defender that could give a 90-100 average and keep a rookie off field..
Got him last week, probably against most good SCing principles in that he'll have to be traded out again but if he can maintain his role at least until Guthrie is back then I'm ok with it.
His subbed games were preseason when others needed to get looked at, tweaked a calf and was managed along with Atkins who also was coming back from an injury, there was a short 5 day turnaround where both had limited minutes and I think both were subs, looks ok now

Was very interested in the preseason and managed to grab him in a keeper league draft (Pick 27- My first pick) as it looked like he may play more in the midfield. Current structure involves D’Ambrosio, Williams and Clohesy at D4-D6 so unfortunately no room for me in classic, yet.

seriously considering going early on walsh. he has a tough run of games tho

not many other mids present much value atm, i want stewart next round, steele the round after(before hawks north games- cant afford him this week) and petracca round after. if all goes well

thinking either bringing back hayden young or going walsh

Yeah, went Young > Yeo which has worked out ok, the cash released allowed me to get another rookie off field. It's a very dynamic thing where one movement has more than one implication.

When is Danger back?
Looks like he's down the pecking order.

Yeah interesting.. I'm toying with moving Daicos to the mid line for now and riding him for a few weeks. Could be a bust but role looks good, seems to have improved tackle and possession numbers.. if he can put out a month of good scoring it opens up some possibilities for later upgrades. Just a matter of whether Bowes or May is a better value play, or whether I skip the value move altogether..
