Didn't quite realise how well Kiely was going until I looked at the last two weeks - serious scoring potential, showed in how she rescued her score after quarter time last week.

I'm preparing to get Swanson next week, so putting 20k away in the bank this week and going:

Vesely to East
Harris to Bohanna
McDonald to Hatchard

And playing Kiely at M5.
Team now looks like:
Def: Schleicher, Webster, Birch, Ferguson, Reid (Lister)
Mids: Bowers, Hatchard, Rowbottom, G Prespakis, Kiely (East)
Ruck: Cutting (Fuller)
Fwd: Hanks, O'Sullivan, Bodey, Howarth, Bohanna (Low)
Utility: E West

Ideally I'll find a way to turn Reid into Swanson next week - maybe Bodey down to a Isabella Eddey-type character. Time will tell.

So if GC don’t end up playing and we were to trade in Hampson would we get her average or would she be a zero because she is suspended 🤔
If teams are named, they’ll use those names for the purposes of any averages. So Hampson could be out if they name teams.

Hampson could end up getting two DNP's. If the teams are announced but ends up being postponed. I doubt Brisbane would have a team to announce, if the game was going to be postponed. It should get called off before announcements.

GC could still name a team on Friday night but yes I think Hampson is possibly an option if no teams are named, there is still always the risk that the game goes ahead later in the round however.

My general approach will be to not tempt the fantasy gods!

I think they would use last week’s teams in that case, she would get a score (no price change) but of course would have to serve her suspension after that
Good point about the suspension still needing to be served, I hadn’t factored that important but obvious part in. Probably doesn’t make her a great option in light of that.

Thanks for that...

I'm still scared of trading in Hampson for her game to be postponed then rescheduled to be played prior to the start of R4 meaning that she'll get a DNP due to her suspension.
Think I'll pass on her this round as it could create more issue for subsequent rounds.

Agree, I think I’ll generally avoid trading in missing players, esp from Covid affected clubs!

R3 FIXTURE UPDATE: Two matches postponed, Tuesday night clash confirmed

The AFL advises it has updated the fixture for Round Three of the 2022 NAB AFL Women's Competition after multiple players from the Brisbane Lions, Gold Coast SUNS and Western Bulldogs AFLW programs entered AFL Health and Safety Protocols this week.

The Brisbane Lions vs. Gold Coast SUNS and Western Bulldogs vs. Carlton matches will not proceed as planned.

The Brisbane Lions will now host Carlton at Metricon Stadium on Tuesday, January 25 at 7:10pm AEDT (6:10pm local) and the AFL continues to work closely with both the Western Bulldogs and the Gold Coast SUNS on fixturing arrangements for those two clubs.

AFL General Manager Competition Management Laura Kane thanked each Club and everyone involved in the two matches for their understanding and adaptability as the league navigated the situation.

"While COVID-19 continues to impact the competition, the health and welfare of those in our game and the wider community remains the priority," Ms. Kane said.

"In line with the AFLW's Covid Match Rescheduling Guidelines – which states a team is required to have a minimum 16 primary-listed players and five train-on players available to play – the league received requests from three clubs which detailed multiple players from each respective Club's AFLW program had entered into AFL Health and Safety Protocols this week.

"As a result, we have updated the Round Three fixture which sees two matches not proceeding as planned with the Brisbane Lions to meet Carlton on Tuesday night at Metricon Stadium. This is the earliest possible time the Brisbane Lions are able to play ensuring the health and safety of their list.

"For the Western Bulldogs and the Gold Coast SUNS, we will work closely with both those teams on fixturing arrangements as soon as it is safe and practical to do so.

"We know how much the Pride Game and the Q Clash mean to football fans and the wider community, and we share in the disappointment of those teams and their supporters. We look forward to still celebrating Pride Round across all matches in Round Three.

"We will continue to monitor the situation and will work closely with both clubs on a revised fixture and, together with the AFLPA, support all players impacted.

"We remain committed to delivering a full season in a safe manner anchored in the advice of respective governments and public health officials."

The NAB AFLW Competition will continue to remain adaptable as it navigates the 2022 season and the AFL thanks its Clubs, players and the AFLPA, umpires, venues, governments, ticketing agents and supporters for their understanding.

GEELONG has regained some key names for Friday night's game against Collingwood, as three players are dropped and boom recruit Chloe Scheer is managed.

Nina Morrison, Sophie Van De Heuvel, Julia Crockett-Grills and Georgie Rankin all return after missing last week through the competition's health and safety protocols.

Rene Caris has been named for her first game of 2022 to provide support to an inexperienced ruck division, while Annabel Johnson will miss through health and safety protocols after a strong start to her AFLW career.

Danielle Higgins, Laura Gardiner and Georgia Clarke have all been omitted for the Cats.

Collingwood regains dangerous forward Chloe Molloy, who missed round two due to health and safety protocols, while Bella Smith will play her first game of 2022 after managing a concussion across the early rounds.

Last-minute debutant Imogen Barnett has been omitted from the side and Erica Fowler will miss after she copped a head knock against the Saints.
