I'm not saying Paris is a worldbeater, but I know the Scorchers set-up loves him, and have always picked him where they can (Langer was a big fan, so he might have lost a supporter.

One thing we do know is that the Scorchers are extremely unpredictable in their team selection. Which is always the case with a side that has half a dozen all-rounders / bit part players.

But it would be easy to see Whiteman come in (another golden boy) come in to open, shift Bancroft to 4 and drop one of the quicks (Paris or Kelly).

Paris had (and probably still has) a lot of potential. He just hasn't been all that effective in T20s when fit.

I change it constantly , happy again with it apart from my bowling bench , so will sit on it now awaiting final squads and LRP announcements.

I'm more worried about my batting bench would like to upgrade jewell to weatherald but unless a 42k batsmen is named that is is unlikely

Just gone Peirson & Harris at the moment which I am happy with.

Will likely go Green/McGurk/Sutherland/??? which will then allow Stanlake.

nothing wrong with Jewell as a pick (should either bat 3 or open)

Wes Agar should take Laughlin's spot at the Strikers so nothing wrong with that pick either

will be a very popular trade in target Week 2 I would imagine in readiness for his DWG'S in Week 3 & 4.

didn't consider him at all as I expect him to remain in the Test Squad as the concussion substitute batsmen.

Patterson if fit , Inglis or Whiteman other possibilities , Inglis will have to keep.

Bancroft might even bat 3

Great stuff mate!! This is really awesome analysis and is largely in line with my own thoughts as well.

To take nothing away from your work, but I wonder if certain wickets such as OS, Marvel and SCG are actually hard to bat wickets earlier on in the season. Did your analysis suggest anything to that effect?

I recall SCG and Marvel wickets last year were very slow early on and were bowlers paradises before perhaps becoming more normal pitches. Was wondering if that’s happened in previous years too or if the groundsman just cooked it last season.

Just having a quick look

SCG seems to have a pattern of 1 good 1 bad.

Perth did seem to get a bit better.

Marvel in BBL08 was a bit up and down but BBL06/BBL07 got better as the season went on.

I've already got Carey on my bench along with W.Agar and am going to look at Jhye, Livingstone, and paris or fawad from scorchers with rashid and weatherald from strikers

Here is bowling. Probably a bit harsh on some grounds with Alice Springs, Mo & Moe 1 game, Geelong, Metricon, Utas, 3 games and Co*** Harbour yet to play a game (put them in middle tier). But it’s a bit of rough guide
