Also, some assorted thoughts:

1) The only time the BBL Final was at a neutral venue was season 4, right before the World Cup. So the only reason for that was to have those grounds ready for the tournament. I know they used Canberra as well but probably a different pitch?

2) Mostly unsaid during this farce is the means of deciding the final - where the home team is awarded the final by default. Compare to the previous greatest farce in ending a cricket match - the World Cup final last year. Had that match been rained out, they would have shared the title!

Sixers won the right to host the final by defeating the Stars , if the Stars had won that game they would have hosted the final.

Maybe the easiest solution is not to have any finals at all , and just first past the post are the champions.

That's the thing I just don't understand about BBL - this clown in particular has been terrible all season and yet they still keep playing him instead of giving someone else a crack who might actually do something given the opportunity?
