Looking at 2 cheapies and atm have Doggett and WilderMuth. I am aware Doggett should be good for Rnd 2, but unsure on Wilder?
Any advice welcome thanks

Thanks Herbie all good thoughts.
Tonight's Strikers Final XI will be telling but as you explained, based on their depth and spread may not be too predictive...unlike the Heat.
Might just stick fat with Thornton for now then and see how it plays out, thanks.
Was just reading the Strikers tea leaves 😀

Bazley (if playing) could be as low as 8 , although I suspect he , Overton & Allen would all bat ahead of Nielsen.

Could also float

Does he and others get enough overs though ? (Might all come down to game by game match ups).

I guess Boyce , Overton would all get 4 each

Pope & Thornton 3 each (maybe 4 for Thornton) , both had a 50/50 split between 3 & 4 last season based on Big Bash Board.

Thornton bowled 1 in one game

Leaves 6 for Allen , Bazley , Short , Short (?)

I think I saw something where Lynn commented that it would be a 200 run pitch tonight. So will be interesting to see if they go harder on spin to try and take the pace off the ball, or back in some pace options. Or maybe the plan is give everyone 2 overs than give the rest to whoever is going well on the night..

I would agree that certain bowlers in both teams are VERY hittable, and it gives me flash backs of lynn and Mcdermott teeing off at manuka. One thing that I'm hesitant of (in regards to a higher total or strikers scoring well) is the form of those other blokes like weatherald, short, allen

That's the thing Warner & Rutherford get going we might see Lynn & Weatherald getting a bowl as well 😀

Probably need to look back at their bowling setup last season and see if their is any sort of pattern they use differently H & A

200 pitch , century for Matt Short then (non owner)

1 over spells between 6-7 straight off so the batsman don't get settled

Rinse and repeat

Boland in but do they get anyone into the squad as a back up and if so, who? Abbott or Doggett seem most likely.. could throw out a lot of plans!
They will need a "spare" quick so hopefully it is only 1 and not 2 they call up.

Given both Abbott and Doggett have been with the Squad recently they are probably top of the tree

I think in the past they meet up in Melbourne 22nd or 23rd
