Ended up ok in the end with the Lynn over Short decision resulting in +64 but L Pope over B Doggett resulting in -131. This in turn meant Stoinis was traded over Renshaw/Bazley to fund L Pope, with the Sixers trio and Walter only combining for 84 since Dwarshuis score was not included in the 11. Saved by the likes of Thornton, Rogers and Zampa from a fall.

Potentially may only grab one Thunder player this round as loops aplenty next round with the Strikers bye and thus can target three Thunder players.

I’m thinking this is the course of action. Trade in the hurricanes cash cows in Chaudhary and Jordan and get Billings who’s class and who’s dismissal was unlucky this round (fell victim to an all-time catchy courtesy of Sutherland). I’m contemplating trading Bryant in for his double as he seems to be the only heat player worth the price currently. We’ll see how Neser goes this round if he plays.

His role could improve soon. Not sure he goes higher in the order, but Hope and their other overseas player likely depart in a few games.

If you’re super keen for cash gen, I would go Agar or Jordan. Both aren’t far off Doggett and if you aren’t holding Doggett to get his second negative BE after the bye, you’ll get similar cash gen from the other two and be better set up for the upcoming doubles.

Currently considering the high BEs - Seifert and O’Niel to Billings and Wes agar in prep for next DGR. Spencer to Dorff who has 2 back to back home games.

I have no hurricanes yet. May be I shall wait until thunder DGR and then pick, but slightly worried that the must-have Jordan will go very high in price by then.

The canes are a victim of having batted on that shocker of a Geelong deck. Easily the worst pitch this season. Means we get them all quite cheap compared to what they’d normally be worth. Bar Ellis of course.

Two of what I’d call the weaker teams next two starts, so he may wreak some havoc with the ball, especially at Engie vs Thunder.

Current team ($73,600 ITB) (no boosts)

OPope (Doran)
Overton, Sutherland, Connolly, Walter, Stoinis (Harper, Shaw)
Dwarshuis, Rogers, Thornton, Zampa, KRicho (HKhan, Bazley)

Ideally the trades would be pretty straight forward

HKhan, OPope, Walter to WAgar, Jordan, Billings leaving $25,000 even.

Unfortunately all my worthwhile BAT/BWL are in the BAT line and doing the above, would mean starting Harper/Bazley on-field and having both KRicho and Zampa on the bench. The main reason for the 3 ins are B/E related.

It would leave me with this:

Billings (Doran)
Overton, Sutherland, Connolly, Harper/Bazley, Stoinis (Harper/Bazley, Shaw)
Dwarshuis, Rogers, Thornton, Jordan, WAgar (KRicho, Zampa)
Behrendorff

I guess the alternative is to keep OPope and trade Dwarshuis (who has roughly the same B/E as OPope (albeit with a better chance of achieving it)?

Any thoughts or alternatives?
