Does it time and time again. Bailey should have stayed in the team over Watson. Aussies in big trouble here

New Zealand in their 4th game and Australia not played for a good two weeks and it shows. Momentum is everything.
No reserve days for a tournmaent that goes this long is madness in ICC scheduling. Australia should have played some game at some stage when Gabba washed out.
But wow, 1 for 80 to 9 for 107...lol. Great going Kiwi's

Just depressing from the Aussies. You would think at some stage during that collapse they would just pull their heads in and consolidate the innings. But noooo!

Why did they drop Bailey? He is the only one that could hold an innings together...

Well Smith was not in team for sure before the summer in terms of one day team but once he hit his hot streak in whole Aussie summer of Tests and one dayers it meant when Clarke was back then Bailey leaner trot meant he was most likely to go. I do not agree with it but hard to argue against including Smith given his form. However in first two games of World Cup he has failed. Tricky way whatever way selectors went. Had my concerns about batting order but the Aussies won the first one dayer so well after Finch got dropped first over and Smith failed that the concerns not high priority to change from selectors view I guess. Easy from our vantage point to say what we think and should do but at end of day it is down to players out in middle to sew up their spot. Some people say leave Clarke out, some way Maxwell, some say Bailey, some say Watson. The selectors make the decisions , not us.
Anyway, should be interesting to see how many wickets New Zealand lose to win this game. They should still win but Aussie probably give them some concerns in next hour.

Hmm, NZ 4 for 79.

May be life in this match yet...

5 or 6 for 110 ish might make things interesting.

Well that is the good thing about Aussie playing essentially three strike bowlers. None of these three bowlers bowl to contain. They bowl to knock you over. Anything possible but Kiwi's still should win. ****.. as I type Cummings has one get high edge and lucky not to be out. Seriously good ball.
