A handy 52x2 = 104 from Luke Wright as skipper, after only making 13 with the bat I'll take that anyway. Thanks to my latest recruit in David Hussey for his massive score of 6 points. LOL

Happy with my week trading in Bravo and Hodge!
Could've been a lot better if Hastings 93 over Botha -8!

Scored 597 points with a naught from White

Traded Henriques for a player not playing to get a nice 95 points from Neser

Captain Wright did alright with 52 pts after his bad batting display

Marsh's bowling has been shizen recently that's why I've had him benched the last few rounds I'm not surprised if they didn't bowl him intentionally.

I only got 390. No Bravo doh and Henriques as skipper. My only good move was loopholing Pomers for 80. I traded him in for Maddinson though. I didn't bring Bravo in thinking I could make clever loophole moves with my two trades. Fail.

You had to have Bravo this round. Not many others did anything of note.

Terrible week for me, you don't want to know my score. Doesn't help with Steve Smith being selected for Australia, and then Input him as captain :/

Might be the end of Henriques for the BBL, selected as Faulkner's replacement for the South African tour.

Australia Test squad for South Africa:
Michael Clarke(c)
Brad Haddin (vc)
Jackson Bird
Alex Doolan
James Faulkner
Ryan Harris
Mitchell Johnson
Shaun Marsh
Nathan Lyon
James Pattinson
Chris Rogers
Peter Siddle
Steve Smith
David Warner
Shane Watson

George Bailey axed from the test squad, Shaun Marsh and Alex Doolan will most likely fight it out for the number 3 position with Watson to drop down to the more tradition number 6 spot for the all rounder. Bird and Pattinson back from injury as well to add to our pace attack, Nathan Coulter-Nile a bit stiff to miss out on the touring squad as well.
Faulnker injured means Henriques replaces him...

Knee injury means surgery for James Faulkner and a flight to South Africa for Moises Henriques

Allrounder James Faulkner has been ruled out of Australia's Test Tour of South Africa with a right knee injury and will undergo arthroscopic surgery in Melbourne later today.

Moises Henriques will take Faulkner's place on the tour of South Africa.

Cricket Australia has also advised Shaun Marsh has a calf strain and will not travel to South Africa as scheduled tonight.

He will remain in Perth for further treatment over the coming days, with a decision on whether he will travel to South Africa to be made in due course.

And Test squad paceman Jackson Bird will also remain in Hobart to be assessed by CA's medical staff and return to bowling to determine if he has recovered sufficiently enough to take his place on the South Africa tour.

The knee injury for Faulkner is a big blow for the 23-year-old, who collected man-of-the-match in the fifth Carlton Mid ODI match in Adelaide on Australia Day, but Cricket Australia are hopeful he will be available to take part in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.

"James injured his knee during the Australia Day one-day international in Adelaide," Cricket Australia Physiotherapist Alex Kountouris said.

"He has had subsequent scans and was reviewed by Cricket Australia's medical team and a knee specialist, and will require arthroscopic surgery on Tuesday.

"James' exact rehab plan and return to training and playing will be determined after surgery but unfortunately for him, he will not be available for the upcoming Test tour of South Africa.

"We are hopeful that he will recover in time to play the Twenty 20 games on that tour and take part in the ICC World Twenty20."

South Australian Kane Richardson has been drafted in to take Faulkner's place in Australia's squad for the KFC T20 Internationals against England, beginning in Hobart tomorrow night.

The injury also opens up a golden opportunity for all-rounder Henriques, who will now fly to Johannesburg on Friday after playing in the opening Twenty20 match at Blundstone Arena.

"Moises Henriques has shown some good form recently with both bat and ball and he provides a good fit when looking to replace James," said National Selector John Inverarity.

"The NSP is hopeful that James will be fit for the three Twenty 20s in South Africa and for the ICC World Twenty20 following as that is a key tournament for him."

"Kane Richardson has been called to Hobart to replace James in our Twenty 20 squad. He has shown promise as a shorter-form young cricketer and will gain from the experience of being involved."

Score of 505, 116 short of what it should've been which is annoying as it looked to be a pretty handy score this week

Looks like Shaun Marsh won't be able to make the trip to South Africa.
A real shame as thought maybe his time had come to make the number 3 spot his own.

However, with his bad luck it gives Phil Hughes another chance to stake his claim.
He is now going to South Africa.

How the hell is Morgan out ????

***,

T20 cricket has some weird stuff but I believe Morgan made his ground like Brett Lee says on commentary.

Yeah I agreed mate, I thought he was always safe but the longer it took the third umpire to make the decision then I knew he was going to cop a bad one. I always thought that was the interpretation of the rule, but wasn't to be tonight.

It is not as bad as the Dean Jones mistake about 20 years ago but up there with one of worst I seen ever.

If you never seen how Dean Jones got given out run out, you probably could not believe this could happen at Test level.

He gets bowled by Courtney Walsh but it is a no ball he did not hear or notice umpire arm out. So he walks off heading towards dressing room and some West Indies fielders in excitement think they can run him out. But you cannot be given out run out if not attempting a run. Amazingly both umpires let him get given out despite rules of game clear as mud you can never be run out in such circumstances..

Watch the full you tube video here.
The conversation by Ian Chappell afterwards did a good job of explaining how bad a mistake it was.

Don't envy bowling to Bailey right now. That ball is going over this Poms head next ball...lol

At some stage he might hit 36 off an over in one of these games.

Oz, here are some excerpts from the laws that might clarify things for you :)

(a) A batsman is not out Run out if

(i) he has been within his ground and has subsequently left it to avoid injury, when the wicket is put down.

(iii) if No ball has been called
and he is out of his ground not attempting a run
and the wicket is fairly put down by the wicket-keeper without the intervention of another fielder.

Dean Jones always found different ways to be dismissed - This one was the worst though.

I remember that Jones dismissal! What a travesty.

Didn't catch the Morgan one but had a quick read and i always thought it was if your bat's in the air you're out but if you've grounded it first, you're safe. Obviously not.

The other one that I wasn't aware of is if you jump to avoid getting hit by the ball you're not out..saw that mentioned during the test series.
