Jarrad McVeigh is the player I am having most difficulty deciding on.
Firstly he is the most expensive defender and rightly so. His yearly averages for the last six years has been 106, 97, 94, 94, 98 and 99. Further he rarely misses a game. He seems like the perfect SC defender: reliable and consistent scorer.
However the other thing I see when I look at those averages is that you are paying for him based on a 106 average when in the previous five years he hovered around the 94 to 99 mark. The cheap skate in me doesn't like paying full price even if the product is exactly what I am looking for.
If I don't pick him I would likely upgrade to him at some stage during the year. However his consistency makes me wonder how much cheaper could I get him and whether it would actually be worth waiting for him or not?
