Hmm..

That's encouraging to hear from the coach.

If I could be certain that he would play majority midfield this year then he would be a lock for my team. Definitely considering him for that elusive F4 spot.
Which bit? The slow start to pre season or the fact that he wants to be a midfielder?

For what it's worth, I read this as being quite bearish, as in "I have nothing more positive to say than that he wants to be a regular midfielder, so I'll say that." If Cameron intended to play Greene as a regular mid, I suspect he would have at least said something in that direction.

Quite a few coaches seem to make comments like this, so I think often it's the obvious thing they don't say that is really the key thing we should take away from it.

I should mention that I haven't seen much of Leon in interviews.

It's probably not an approach I would recommend in interpreting comments from AFL coaches, but I think it's a much better way to be overall :)

All players are priced to score their average from last year (except for rookies and injury discounts)

So 104
But IF he scores exactly 104 in every game of the season, I know he will decrease in value. I am not 100% what the process is in this

Can someone pls advise what Dahlhaus is priced to score?
It's based on last years average but as rookies and midpricers go up in price anyone playing to last years average will drop in price. I think it's about 5-7 points. So Dahlhaus would have to average about 110 to maintain his price.

Which looks unlikely IMO...

Anyone else uncomfortable having Franklin in their team?
Yep.
Every time I read a comment by a Sydney coach or player and they say how good it is that he is back with the group I get the feeling that him being with the group is not a given.

Is that for just the usual reasons PC?

I've got him at F4 after moving Tippett to the rucks. He's a risk I'm okay with taking at the moment, given his price and my relatively low risk picks elsewhere.

Usual and current uneasy feeling I have on him at the moment. He is at F3 for me.

Honestly, the end of last year for him was remarkable in a lot if ways - team in the finals, marquee player, key forward and he didn't play. Now I am certainly not suggesting anything - he obviously needed to leave the AFL and stop playing for a time and it is a good thing for him personally that he did.

But. Surely that remarkable end of the year for Franklin must be still vibrating through the Sydney. As a player, you want to win, win finals and ultimately the GF - they had injuries but Franklin not playing must have shook the group and impacted on their finals campaign.

Him and Tippett are a big part of the salary cap going forward, so with poor performances from either if them, there must be an effect on the culture if the club and its attitude. Cue broken record I know but there first NAB was terrible for a team with that many 'star players'...bad blood interally may play out in poor SC scores...

And he will miss games through the year and his scoring will be up and down and he is 29 and I am scared of the possibility that he starts to monster teams...

I'll take another couple of looks at him. He's very important to Sydney, but I do think a lot of the words out of the team/coaches are part of the rehabilitation process.
