So were the 17 minute games starting from Thursday?

That's a big change. Might just stack the team with impact players, where's Dane Swan?

ok so I am confused

the last 48 hours they were hell bent on playing every game ASAP , 5 games in 3 weeks etc etc but now it is a 17 round season ? Is that final or too be reviewed as well.

It seems like they are almost expecting to lose 5-6 weeks of the season somewhere.

Probably need to wait to read about the press conference before jumping to conclusions but just seems quite odd to me.

Disappointing but appropriate. Only a matter of time before a player catches it. Try play half a dozen rounds now and then go on break for April and May I reckon.

Also wonder if this might turn coaches away from starting some rookies they were originally thinking of debuting this week. Could be a fast paced game, more impact, more injuries?

It could be true, but I haven't seen it. I haven't seen any price gouging here, but that doesn't mean it's not happening.
My wife and I have been given 2 weeks (possibly more to come) off work, on full pay. We are doing the right thing, and self quaranteening. We stay home, walk the dog twice a day, and go to the supermarket 2 to 3 times each week.
We're in day 3 of this, and it is beyond mind numbingly boring, but we accept it for what it is.

On a side note, anybody got any suggestions for good HBO or Netflix series?
We seem to have watched most of the good ones!

Well be lucky if we know all the facts by the time teams drop. Makes for an interesting season no matter how you look at it.

With the government reportedly on the verge of rolling out a total lockdown I'm putting my money on an April 30 start to the season - just seems like the easy choice for all concerned.

Would be somewhat surprised if the players voted to play this weekend as well, given the reports that everyone in the AFL may potentially be asked to take a pay cut.

So are bye rounds gone? Would bring Houston back in as a starting pick.

It's almost too difficult to assess how this is going to affect SC. The AFL will probably get shut down at some point and I don't know if the SC system could handle an undefined fixture. I can really see SC just closing down the game after Round 4 with maybe a weekly comp set up instead.

It's too much to take in at the moment, not sure what to think. Also feel like it's a waste of time as it'll be stopped early anyway.

Byes must be out the door, maybe? Impact players like Bont, Danger, NN, Dusty, Cripps? Can you afford to play a tagger, what's the rotation policy now with benches? Impact for those travelling interstate.

Will be a strange season, plenty out of our hands. For SC? Roll with it, have some fun, might be the one year not to stress to much about it. Other more serious issues.
