That's it mate, I think when contemplating distances, a lot of golfers make the mistake of assuming they're going to execute perfect contact and the ball will travel as far as they can hit that particular iron. Most amateur golfers mi**** a lot of the time so why not allow for that through your round in general and don't put so much pressure on ourselves...so why not take an extra club ?
It also allows for a smoother easier swing, taking an extra club.
That's why I do the, take an extra club policy, with irons, and always putt and chip it a bit harder than my instinct tells me, because I'd rather see the ball go past the hole rather than short all the time, at least you get a look at it going past, and sometimes you make it.
Smoother swing doesnt always work for me. Still love to attack the ball. Just going to the next marker now. See the flag in the middle, play the back distance. See the flag at the front, play the middle, etc.

The putting one is spot on. Same with watching other putts in the playing group. Even if its not on your line, can always learn something.

I've tried all these types of policies, but really need to judge each hole, and shot, on its own merit. Sometimes the best miss is short. Sometimes long, left or right. Learning to accept that and play around the course, rather than just going at the pin at all times, because it's some measure of your courage or something is something that I'm still not sure I can do.

As for seeing a chip go past the hole, I assume you mean a foot above the ground travelling at 100mph, because that's the only way I see chips go past the hole. Or even past my left foot.

Shout out to Toxic, get Theegala on mate, he might win the tournament tomorrow, you never know.
Sorry bud I missed this

Biggest issue is delayed rd2 results.

Is there a way of presetting "swaps" during rd2

Not being awake to swap has cost me hundreds of points so far

Hi mate, not sure about presetting but you can select who plays in what round anytime, just click on the round and drag and drop your player into position. I'll do that when a round is suspended and I'm sure or pretty sure someone might miss the cut

I have got into the habit of checking the scores on Saturday and benching any that look like missing, as there's pretty much zero chance I'll get time between rounds if play is suspended. I don't always remember, but usually do.

As Russty noted, when Rd 2 is suspended, click on Rd 3, then change your team as required. You are doing really well to be so close if you haven't been doing that already!

Had no idea you could do that

There's something wrong with ownership figures for this tournament, lots showing as 0% ownership who definitely would have more than that. Guess it will be fixed fairly quickly, but having almost all my players 0% owned feels weird.

You might have to make a call of your own bat rather than rely on the masses and experts? LOL just kidding mate
You're doing better than me although we both got raked over the coals in the last round.
I like picking guys on instinct and form, don't even look at ownership percentages, more fun that way for me, doesn't make me feel like an A.I Bot.

Played Barham (par 73) at the weekend (Friday/Saturday) had 81 (36 points) both days
And Maryborough on the way home (34 points)
Both very nice courses if anyone ever gets the chance to play them
Awesome scores! Anytime you can put together 3 34+ point rounds in a row, that's very good golf.
