Bit unlucky. Certainly nothing malicious but you do have a duty of care to protect the head. If the AFL wants to help they can remove the idea that you have to bring a player to ground. Disposessing the player or disrupting the disposal is enough.

I honestly am not sure I'd watch at this point if it wasn't for SC and daily fantasy, every one of those "dangerous tackles" just kills my soul and support for the sport.

I say that as a fan who thought Mummy's tackle was the play of the week and probably season so far so clearly I have a propensity towards the violent aspects of the game but it's just a stinker. The AFL's obsession with letting lawyers dictate what the sport is out of fear is horrific. These players are paid hundreds of thousands of dollars because of the risk inherent in the sport.

This one is just a different level though, that's a perfectly executed tackle, that someone got hurt is an unfortunate aspect of a contact sport. It would be like suspending a player for taking a hanger if the player gets hurt.

I loved it also even though it was on a WCE player (Brander) - my family thought I had lost the plot when I said out loud "How awesome was that!"

Yes I am old school, I love the physical aspect of the game & cringe at how soft the game has become over the last few years.

Outside of the utter chaos it has caused for my SC team this year, Mummy's revival this season is certainly a top 10 and I'd say even top 5 narrative this season!
