Not McKenzie or Skinner , or is McKenzie already in the side with Aliir ?
All set up for Sinn to to come in .... rest have had their chance and can wait in the wings for mine ....

- Got to look forward for me ... got a lot of very good young kids and to me he slots in perfectly ....

Where does he fit in though ? , so many HB & W type options.

Talk of Houston playing one wing , Amon or Duursma the other.

Bonner , Burton , DBJ , Jones down back.

Can't remember how far Bergman is away.

Don't know enough about him if he can rotate through the F line but then their's Butters , Gray , Motlop , Rozee , SPP etc that he is competing with.

Might be in that 20-26 player bracket.

Mmm ... trust me I can find a spot no doubt .... Bonner on his very last chance and a few others injured at this point in time ...

Just trying to count them in my head.

12 I mentioned
Lycett + Boak , Drew & Wines
Aliir , Clurey/Jonas , McKenzie
Dixon , Finlayson , Georgiadis , Marshall

Dixon doubtful for Round 1 , think they said the other night Gray & SPP are right to go.

That's 23 , so he might be close enough.

One thing though is if he is debuting Round 1 Ken will let us know early in the week.

I'm pretty sure McEntee has been quoted as an in for round 1 ...
- Screw that me thinks ... I'm bringing in the possible future ...

McKenzie and Clurey were generally fighting for a spot last year. McKenzie had good form but wasn't big enough on tall forwards. (I actually like Cluzza) Skinner stops us from being undersized. Bonner has strangely become a decent player. I really don't see a spot for Sinn, but Hinkley loves a team full of half back flankers. (Hopefully at some stage Sinn transitions in to a classy mid but i don't think its this year)

I’d like to see Skinner get a go. Would be a a bit of a fairytale for a kid who’s up to version 4.0 of his knee. I didnt realise he was so big when I watched the internal the other week. Finlayson gave him the run around and pushed him off the ball a couple of times and I’d always thought of Finlayson as a 190 player. Turns out they’re both 6 foot 5+ and shows how much GWS I’ve watched.

I knew Skinner was massive - he was part of my "fun" stat where we had two defenders and two forwards all taller than our starting ruck back in 2020 - but I've watched just about every GWS game and still wouldn't have told you Finlayson was 196 cm (though I knew he was technically a tall forward). He plays like a 190 cm with a bit of a leap, probably because he also plays like any contact with any player is going to overpower him.

Few good weeks of scoring for Sicily to make him look like a premium and have everyone jump on, only to have Impey, Day and Jiath all back to cruel his output?
I'm not sure Sicily showed enough for me in the AAMI series, especially when Hewett is cheaper. I'm not really a fan of either but may take one due structure
If those 3 play, I don't think McDonald or Maginness do.
Sicily will be fine if Frost and Hartigan play.
So, do I start Sicily or not, hmmm.  :D

Sicily played a bit of a lock down role and took a minimum number of kick ins, don't see him as a safe selection. His score of 87 was amplified because he got two fifties for (usually the opposite happens). Yeh Hartigan was out and Richmond have a few talls in their forward line but potential role fluctuations, not taking the bulk of the kick ins and also a few other players in their side who can move the ball out of their backline and it's too many question marks. Not sold on Hewett either, don't think he has the ceiling, probably not a top 8 defender and has the worst bye for trading around but still provides a bit more value.

I didn't think you got points for 50s for, but you get -7 for 50s against.

If that's the case then 87 is a pretty decent score for that game
Agreed, doesn't seem great stats really, but he still scored 87. 17 disposals at 82%, only 3CP, 5 marks and a tackle. 3 clangers in there and 2 FA too. I expect he should improve on that in general, it was his first game back, so if 87 is a relatively bad game, definitely worth considering.

I only just paid attention to the score in this game for the first time, I thought the Hawks had lost by more, but they ended up having the same amount of scoring shots in the end. Might need some goal kicking practice...
