Hayden Crozier has escaped serious injury after a nasty incident in the third quarter that ended his day after colliding with teammate Josh Bruce in a contest with Rhyan Mansell.

Scans have cleared the 29-year-old of structural damage to his back, but the former Docker is in doubt for the clash against the Power, who responded after a disappointing fortnight by beating Sydney at the SCG on Saturday night.

I think this is the timing and the fact it looks like Omera is actually shaping to contest the mark. If you take Witherden away Omera has a shot at marking the ball - if you take Keath away Lynch doesn't. I think the main point of it is whether lynch is actually a part of the marking contest - I dont think he is because he never looks like he is going for the ball.

Sorry, not even close.
Didn't tuck the arm and lead with the shoulder like Lynch did. Put his hands in front of the body to try and soften the blow.

So the pic above of Lynch looking directly at the incoming ball isn't enough to make you think the ball was his objective until Keath ran directly into his path & he braces to protect himself?

I think its the same concept as if the ball was on the ground - if you choose not to contest the ball and play the man you assume responsibility of what happens when you hit them. My example would be logue last week he was looking at the ball but didn't make any effort to get it:

O'Meara was never going for the mark,was simply blocking for Darcy.
Happens in most contests, Lynch didn't have that help from a team mate.
Anyway,let's see where it ends up,game changer either way

To be honest I dont think it's important either way - Lynch will be out for longer than suspension and the AFL has shown it doesn't care about precedents so it doesn't matter what they give him.

The option of trading to Darcy to Cameron instead of Doc to Daicos has gone worse than I could have ever imagined.
After just 2 rounds it has cost me 3 trades and -173 points. So unlucky.
I only traded because I needed the 100k and guess what? I didn’t even need to use it in the end.

Soldo is 1-3 weeks away (4th April update)

Tough for Richmond losing key position players back, forward and now their main ruck.






Unless Ivan Soldo returns from the foot injury that has sidelined him for the opening rounds of the season, young ruck-forward Samson Ryan will have to shoulder the load against Sydney's Peter Ladhams and Joel Amartey.

The Tigers could call on defender Ben Miller for support while Marlion Pickett has frequently been used as a pinch-hitter.

Project ruckman Mate Colina is sidelined long term with a back injury.
