I have a very diverse taste in music, too diverse to pick a top 5! From the classic 70/80s rock, heavy metal, rock, pop, 2000s classics (ie Linkin Park, Green Day, Killers, Maroon 5), jazz, blues, kpop, jpop and nowadays mainly the top 40 pop songs :p

Ironically I think I disliked top 40 music as a teenager, preferring 80s rock (as I play guitar as well) but after becoming older I don’t mind the popular stuff. Catchy tunes bring the positive vibes.

Anyway, I’m not sure if I’ve seen this one in the thread yet (apologies if I missed it) but if I could only choose one, it would be this one! One of the first songs I learnt on guitar (and one I never forgot)

Your video music selection is surely diverse. It doesn't matter what genre it is, if it's a good song, it's a good song.

Back to 1976-77; not the best known version of the song, or the band's best recording. However, for raw energy and joy in performing this really stands out. More to come from The Clash. Strummer apparently used to enhance Stamford Bridge [chels(ea) for the unaware].

I was thinking tonight that I'm not surprised to see none of the more dominant recent female artists in the thread ..... Madonna, Shakira and Kylie etc.... some decent jingle songs for a year or two but none seem to last the ages ...

- Or it could just be our age demographics ...
