Although plz don't let me stop you from missing out on the rookies you like. If you feel Lycett isn't up to R2 standards then defs trade him out to Nicnat. Any other way you can generate cash without dropping Brayshaw?
The only other way to free up cash would be to downgrade an intended keeper such as a Hibberd to Bonner type move. Have Sicily up back and so if any of Smith, Petracca or Lobb had failed I could have grabbed Bonner for them but so far all look ok selections. Started treloar as a POD and would happily move him on already but already have Cogs so don't like any other mid-price mids.

I like Brayshaw and think he'll be one of the better mid rookies but think upping Lycett to a premium ruck will make more points than the points/cash lost in taking Brayshaw down to a budget rookie.

Ah ok now I see the dilemma. Prob not the greatest idea downgrading Hibberd to Bonner, Bonner up against Sydney this week in the small confines of the SCG might not give him enough space to rack up 31 disposals again and could easily end up scoring 50 odd. Treloar down to Garlett maybe? Could give you cash to go Lycett up to whichever premo ruck you'd like.

Stef Martin vs Sauce vs Witts vs Nic-Nat
NicNat just has so much X factor that he only needs to play about 55% TOG to get a great score. He also doesnt share a bye round with Gawn(who I assume isa your other ruck) which is positive
However he still might be easing into getting more match fit so could be prone to maybe being rested at times. Stef gets most of his points by being an extra midfielder but shares the same bye as the beard. Witts was huge in that game but that awful weather may have caused him to be at a lot of stoppages. He did have 25 possies but only at 44% DE. Another downside to Witts is that dreaded early bye, but unless you have cover like English could be a good POD pick. I don't have the stats but have heard Jacobs H2A hasnt always been that good, but is a durable ruck.

So Nicnat first, Stef second, Witts third & Jacobs last.

Thanks for the pointers 👍 - If Nic-Nat is only playing 50%, will he even need to be rested?

You are correct, to get his fitness up he needs to play matches. However, he apparently has no cartiledge on the knee and that could be an issue later in the season. Nic Nat was amazing on Sunday, running and tackling, didnt expect he would move so well.

Unfortunately every ruckman has his issue. Stef is an older player and mid season his body gets sore, that is why Archie played six games last year, to take some of the load off Stef. May not happen this year, just a factor.

I have an underperforming Lycett and will be hoping he pulls his head in and play properly and stop giving away free kicks. He will be doing this whilst sitting on my bench and I give English a crack at R2. Agree Witts and tackling machines like Holman likely benefitted from plenty of stoppages.

The only point I would put less weight on is the bye, if you get a good ruckman this year, just back him in. The ruck situation is too hard this year to be putting too many constraints around it.

Is that no cartilage in knee thing even confirmed? Seemed to just be a rumour. Some journalists trying to get the spotlight speculating that his career was over.

NN also showed in 2016 that he could score off limited game time too. Averaged 107 in games he had TOG less than 67%. Had 106 SC off 66.6%TOG for the year. He must be such a good player to cheer on too. NN looked like he was keen for much more than 50% game time on the weekend. Could see him average 105-110 from maybe 20 games. If English can cover two games, he'll be a pretty good chance at being the second best ruck.

I think Nic Nat pricing is pretty attractive price wise, would want to have him paired with English, although, you could say that for many rucks this year.

The comment was made in the game again on Sunday, although, I am not sure it has been confirmed. here is the Langdon comments. There is also an article the next day in the australian Feb 20th which the doctor comments, which I can no longer access or copy the link (reach my quota of free articles). They had to trim the cartliledge back in the 2nd op, hence the comments.

Yeah this is the one. I noted at the time that Karl langdon is an SEN commentator not a coach, so it's just an unconfirmed rumor.

Stef Martin vs Sauce vs Witts vs Nic-Nat

Same boat.

Stef v Goldy v NicNat for me.

Leaning towards Stef at this stage, but still really up in the air.

Stef Martin vs Sauce vs Witts vs Nic-Nat vs Goldy.

I've narrowed it down to 2.
Set and Forget Sauce (already have to use up a trade.)
or
Nic Nat (rich rewards but maybe lose another trade, what are trades worth?).

I'm leaning on gambling on Nic Nat not to break down this season, because WCE have taken a very patient and careful management of his injury.
I don't think they could have done any more to get him right, and what also appeals to me, is the way they are carefully managing his games to get him right. They have given (and still giving) him the best opportunity to play all this season.

Yeah I reckon I’m gonna go with NicNat as well

Danger 42.6k in the bank v Oliver + 179.6k in the bank
C Oliver

In the next 10 rounds there is only 3 matches against 2017 top 8 sides (Rich, Ess, Adel)

Oliver's lowest score in a win in 2017 was 99.
2017 Wins Avg: 114.08 from 12 (low of 99 and a high of 142, 1/12 below 100, 2/12 120+)

Only scored 3 120+ last year and already he has 2 120+.

Selwood vs Dangerfield. Need to trade out Crouch

Probably a silly question but I am really liking the look of Selwood this year.

Leaning towards Taranto PJ - but that is the ultimate crystal ball question for me right now. Either can be a keeper, be a massive trade to pull round 2!

Both have shown signs they may be.

I have TT just in front, as he is slightly cheaper and potentially going to play the SC friendly midfield role.
