Currently have 723k to spend after trading Mr 19. Team is as pictured below. Bowes and 219k vs Houston and 183k vs Macrae and 79k vs Steele and 70k vs Heppell and 405k. Open to any suggestions. Currently leaning towards Heppell as next week could go Jordan to Prem Mid?

I think another C/VC option is pretty valuable for your team, so I’d go Macrae or Steele. Whoever you prefer and think works better as a VC/C.

I'm looking to clean up some deadwood on my bench for Waterman this week. Who should I get rid of first?

Jordon - 205K, no DPP, 24 in price cycle stunting growth, Harmes could take his role once 24 out of price cycle (if he survives in team that long)
or
Fullarton - 165K, R/F DPP, will get dropped for McStay this week or next.

Would probably hold Jordon. At least he's shown he can actually score over 50 although that seems a lifetime ago now.

That said I couldn't find Where's Wally? in the Cats game to the point of wondering whether I missed a late out or something. Then later I saw Jordon's FanFooty TOG %.:poop:(n)

So both are pretty much looking like bust selections at this point, especially if you burned a trade bringing in Jordon on the bubble like I did.

Petracca vs Titch vs Merrett?
The only guys I'd be targeting over $550K at this point would be the Riddler, Dunks, Crae, Steele, Oliver and also probably the two big ruck dogs as your "must haves".

Options like Titch, ZM, Tarantula etc are a little better suited to DT formats imho. This has been exacerbated this season with CD reaming them on a weekly basis as many of their owners would attest to based on the gameday rants I've read here the past few weeks. :giggle:

Tracc does have some appeal if he can clean up his disposal currently 8th in turnovers and 3rd in clangers but I just think there are better options. So if you can't afford any of the must haves I mentioned above you are probably better served saving up the funds and bringing one of those fellas in the following week if possible.

Unfortunately Oliver and Ridley are too expensive, while I have the other three. I can say Titch, Petracca and Merrett all averaging 110-115, which would put them in or amongst the top 8 mids. The question is who's most likely?

Thanks - yeah I’m probably leaning towards getting rid of Fullarton.

I’ll be annoyed if Omac gets injured again though...

Different positions don't matter which are better long term.

I get a feeling Bowes is the better pick right now and won't be far behind overall. Dusty the better player and scorer in the long run but that is cancelled out right now by a combination of value/form/BE factors.

Waterman this week purely because he is on the bubble. If you are only going to grab one then it becomes trickier. Jones has higher scoring potential but Waterman has higher JS in my opinion. I think Waterman's JS more than makes up for the difference in scoring potential however I feel both will be important rookies.

Steele. I feel he is a much safer pick. Only factor that would sway me towards Guthrie in this H2H would be the POD factor (although there is always the risk he becomes a negative POD). At 19% ownership, Steele is not heavily selected anyway (however 33.1% to Guthrie's 1.1% inside the top 5000). Unless you are seeking a super POD at the pointy end, it's Steele easily for me.

Bowes for me. Mini seagull. Averaging 115. He presents great value at his current price point. Could still be a bust but I feel he is a risk worth taking. There are bolters every season that get away from the skeptics. Bowes feels like a safer pick than these bolters from previous years, i.e. Liam Picken 2015 when he averaged 99.2 after a previous best of 72.6. Bowes is 23 years old and his scoring has improved each season (49, 64, 76, 84). Natural progression plays a part but combine that with a great role (kickouts etc.) and he is becoming a selection that I am itching to make. If I didn't have to grab Dunkley this week, I would get Bowes. I'm glad he is still a POD because I'd be getting big FOMO if he was popular. I'll probably grab him soon enough, I'll monitor him in the next couple of weeks. I can't think of a reason not to pick Doch, I just feel that Bowes is safely the better option of the two.
