I reckon keep Jordon and hope for a bounce back to his cash gen. If you don't have Docherty I'm pretty 50/50 on him and Bowes.

Good question GG. Short v Bowes is also my question! (so I don't have an answer...)
What about Doch? :p

Steele. I feel he is a much safer pick. Only factor that would sway me towards Guthrie in this H2H would be the POD factor (although there is always the risk he becomes a negative POD). At 19% ownership, Steele is not heavily selected anyway (however 33.1% to Guthrie's 1.1% inside the top 5000). Unless you are seeking a super POD at the pointy end, it's Steele easily for me.

Bowes for me. Mini seagull. Averaging 115. He presents great value at his current price point. Could still be a bust but I feel he is a risk worth taking. There are bolters every season that get away from the skeptics. Bowes feels like a safer pick than these bolters from previous years, i.e. Liam Picken 2015 when he averaged 99.2 after a previous best of 72.6. Bowes is 23 years old and his scoring has improved each season (49, 64, 76, 84). Natural progression plays a part but combine that with a great role (kickouts etc.) and he is becoming a selection that I am itching to make. If I didn't have to grab Dunkley this week, I would get Bowes. I'm glad he is still a POD because I'd be getting big FOMO if he was popular. I'll probably grab him soon enough, I'll monitor him in the next couple of weeks. I can't think of a reason not to pick Doch, I just feel that Bowes is safely the better option of the two.
Thanks for your assessment on Bowes mate

This depends on what your plans are for DPP.

If you have Flynn at R3 and Fullarton at F8, then when Flynn is ready to be traded you can conceivably trade him into a forward (via Fullarton DPP), or maybe even a midfielder or defender if your DPPs are set up correctly. Trade Flynn into Lloyd, maybe?:)

If you chop Fullarton from F8 now, then when you chop Flynn you'll only be able to trade down into a rookie. It will cost you an extra trade to use the cash from Flynn if you don't have Fullarton (or another F/R) as a forward.

So based on this, I'd do the trade that doesn't involve Fullarton.

He did Short and traded Jordon as it was needed to be done last night as tigers played last night.

Cheers mate, that’s the option I went with last night. Short in, Jordon out, Fullarton held.

Guys, thoughts on bringing in Merrett v Petracca?
Petracca seems more volatile and seems to be going backward a little bit from last year form ( and shortened games?)
Merrett is more confirmed at this level ...

So I'd choose depending of the level of risk/opportunity already existing in your team...

For current Top players as well for last year hall of fame, it seems it isn't even a question ... :

but I agree that Petracca can be considered ... might be a POD option...

What is everyone thoughts on Bergman vs Waterman? Leaning towards Bergman
Prefer Bergman but it's a coinflip. Waterman JS right now is stronger but reckon it's much of a muchness, he's not contributing much outside goals so if they go away so could the spot (and SC scoring). Bergman seems to be basically the 23rd guy which with 2 guys out for 5+ weeks means he should be good if he performs but in a strong team with minor premiership aspirations he's in an earn it or lose it position.

Like Bergman's likely roles, be it wing or HB, more than Waterman's.

Guys, thoughts on bringing in Merrett v Petracca?
Petracca playing forward too much earlier in the season and with Fritsch out that doesn't help the cause, he's a guy in my sights once the KP forwards are back and he can go back to a midfield role, to be fair he played basically pure midfield last week but that was with Fritsch really holding it down up forward.

Merrett getting some really harsh scoring from CD, taking guys who have black tickets is always risky because they have to brute force their way out of it and there haven't been any midfielders putting up the kind of raw DT numbers needed to do that on any kind of consistent basis this year.

Honestly not sure I'd be targeting either of them right now, if in doubt, cheaper?

Thank you both, great insights.

The ideal target would have been Oliver, however not enough dineros - and besides, he probably drops $20k this week.

It's a situation where I have the trade and cash this round to execute, with the intention of getting an extra round of premium scoring in. Not that enamoured with Merrett - previous season best of 115 and doesn't have the SC golden ticket. Also playing for a questionable team.

Petracca is an interesting one - sure he was playing forward a lot R1-3, however he still accumulated ~28 disposals each game. Butchered it plenty though. I am slightly concerned that he runs into Richmond in R6 and they put the handbrake on him for a 70-80, especially if he is stuck forward to replace Fritsch and the volume and quality of ball into F50 decreases.

Clark out means I'm staring at a donut

Clark and Fullerton to Jones and Waterman = $140k

or

Clark and Jordon to Jiath and Waterman
